Feel despondent
Hi, I was diagnosed 13yrs ago and been on and off
dianette
between children (very lucky never struggled to conceive).
Dianette
is great and leaves me with really minuscule symptoms but my GP was making murmurs about coming off it as have been on it a while.

Newly diagnosed - metformin offered but unsure of long term use
GP referred us to a consultant who took blood tests and then said she should go onto
Dianette
and asked us to come back in 3 months. The best thing she mentioned was the Verity website but didn't really offer much else.

Am I too late?
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago (aged 30) but had been on
dianette
since I was 17 as I was having no periods. I always thought it was likely that I had PCOS as I had always had some excess hair on my snail trail and a couple of other places.

Is There A Link to Facial Hair And Hypothryoidism
During my second pregnancy I developed facial hair and although the pill
Dianette
stopped it I couldn't continue with it because of the side effects. What I would really like to know is there a link between the two because I am totally fed up with it! Wishing you all good health.

Unsure about Mirena Coil - Am I over reacting?
Okay, I took
Dianette
and then Marvalon from age 14 to 30. They kinda stopped working for me, as I was originally taking them to control my painful and heavy periods. In hind sight I think they stopped controlling everything because my Endo had started to get crazy.

Alternatives to dianette/yasmin
Hey everyone, so finally after a battle I've been diagnosed. I'm awaiting blood test to check my hormone levels (after telling my doctor I needed one!!) only advice she gave me is I need to lose weight to manage it. She assumed I already knew I had it! Anyways, I always had thought I had it but never

What the hell is going on with my body?
I've always been on
Dianette
which had been keeping my pcos at bay (I'm aware of this) and have always had my usual extremely heavy 8 day bleeds with no spotting for years.

Dear Admins
38yrs female diagnosed mildly hypothyroid in 2009 started on 25mcg levothyroxine increased over the years up to 150mcg and back down to 50mcg now up to 75mcg again (on
Dianette
for skin, to regulate periods & PCOS for a year in 2014 - could this have masked symptoms & affected thyroid blood results?)

PCOS & navel pain. Can the Mirena coil help?
Due to the navel pain I'll talk about below, and the PCOS symptoms the endocrinologist recommend I start taking
Dianette
as this would help the PCOS stuff and might also prevent the hair loss. Then....

Periods after stopping Dianette?
My husband and I are planning to begin trying for a baby in September to allow my body time to get back to normal after stopping the
Dianette
, I was on
Dianette
for about 7 years. I have read a few worrying things about
Dianette
and am unsure if this is to be expected when coming off a pill.

What is the next step?
I have already tried the pill (
dianette
and yasmin) which didn't help and also tried the injection (can't remember the name may have been depro vera?) but that caused bad acne and mood swings so i discontinued that also. My consultant has told me to stick with it but i'm getting fed up.

Yasmin contraceptive pill.
So after a consultation with my gynecologist he has suggested I start the contraceptive pill yasmin after around 9 years on
dianette
/co-cyprindol (which was specifically for my severe acne and hair growth/PCOS) I'm now on the waiting list for my third lap to remove Endometriosis.

Problems with mirena coil and possible endometriosis
When I was 13 I was put on the pill, though I've been on about 8 different ones but the only one that's actually helped my periods was
dianette
(also basically got rid of my acne!)

Cortisol and Full hormone tests now being done but...
I was a bit alarmed that when I checked, the product he gave me -
dianette
, is not generally prescribed by doctors in my surgery and a female doctor gently advised me that due to my age etc, she would rather prescribe a lower dose pill - gedarel.
