Anxiety and fear: Hi I'm new at doing PD... - Kidney Dialysis
Anxiety and fear

Me again. We found that adjusting the solution helps the weight stay regular. Did anyone talk to you about this? Example. We use two 1.5 one night and next night one 1.5 and one 2.5. You adjust the machine as to what solution strength you are using.
Your dry weight can change...a lot depends how much fluid and food you consumed between treatments and at what time you consumed them...My dry weight will change...sometimes a pound or two more or less...the main thing to watch for is more weight gain than usual and if you are having swelling and water retention symptoms...if you are then you need to contact your Clinic...
Awww ...I am so glad you feel better...Starting Dialysis is a stressful time..but I have found my Nurses at the Clinic are so knowledgeable and helpful, it really helped make my transition easier...I have been on PD for a little over a year and I feel so much better...it will get easier each day and it gives you back a Life again..
