Good news
It has been one year since I first saw my renal dietician and met with the nephrologist. She said back then to prepare for dialysis within six months. I had been progressively declining monthly. Went from stage 3 to 4 within a short time. I am so thrilled to report my labs today from the last three

Hello Family! 🤗
Thank you for your patience! It's Fancy and after a long 6 week recuperation from being in the hospital, I'm finally doing quite a bit better! It seems when I turned the corner, I not only turned the corner but I ran halfway up the hill around the corner! LOL! Due to the high dose steroids they put

Diet tips to improve insulin resistance
Insulin is a hormone that helps the body absorb glucose and keeps blood sugar levels balanced. Insulin resistance makes it harder for the body's cells to take in glucose. However, some dietary measures can improve insulin resistance. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/316569.php

I haven't been feeling like myself lately and have been to the ER at least 4 times within march and April. I've had palpitations and shortness of breath along with other bothersome things. I do have a history of anxiety so each time I went to the hospital, that's what they suggested it was, cause I wasn't

Update on diabetes worry
I took a urine test which came up negative of glucose and a blood glucose reader which I did three times and gave me a score of 4.5 which is good and yet I’m still worrying like sorta making excuses on how the test must be wrong such as I left the test strips out of its container for about an hour before

Raised A1c
Good morning everyone, at least it’s morning here in Northern California. A beautiful sunny spring day. I was diagnosed with PMR/GCA in January 2918. Put on 40 mg of pred, currently on week 4 of DorsetLady’s taper going from 10 to 9mg. No problems at this point except for hip and knee

1 year anniversary Auximen PET scan
I recently took my 2nd fluciclovine PET scan even though I had almost no evidence of cancerous growth. My PSA went up a little after being under control for most of the year following but all other labs continue to be the best they have been in 20 years for me. Glucose, Alkaline/Phos ratio, cholesterol

High Glucose numbers whilst fasting
Hi, I am a new comer to healthUnlocked. I had diabetes for three years and I refuse to take medication. I keep my glucose numbers under control by eating less carbs, but lately my numbers are high even though I have been water fasting for over 5 days. Getting glucose numbers of 175 looking forward

High blood sugar
Well, our MO was a definite BIG NO on prescribing Metformin. Even after reviewing Kevin’s fasting glucose numbers and the pile of studies I had on Metformin. We were told to get his primary care physician to prescribe it. (Problem is he doesn’t have one). Anyway have been researching and reading here

Crippling fatigue and brain fog ruining my life
Male, 23, 5’10, 165 lbs, White Hello, My health has felt like it’s been in the crapper for way too long. When I was 12-13 I was diagnosed with mild GERD (acid reflux). Right around this time I also started developing a bit of general anxiety, but again wasn't debilitating. And then, starting around

Tissue Mitral Valve Replacement 1yr on - and coming OFF meds to use Alternative Integrated Supplements...increase pulse & can't gain weight!
1 - I've been fairly quiet on here, although did contribute a little some months back. However, my resting heart rate (over night, during sleep) has risen from 59-65 to 70-75 over the last month or so. I had an echocardiogram a couple of months back, which showed my ejection fraction lower than before
