Dr. FORD Brewer
So, the above mentioned doctor is an American cardiologist who has now for many years specialised in preventative medicine. He posts videos on line and after watching a few I think I agree with him that the main cause of ischmaetic coronary heart disease is inflammation in the artery which causes damage

Whelp, I was wrong about my dad's urine and now I'm really confused!
After reading all of your helpful replies and doing a little Googling, I decided to ask my dad some more questions and well, clearly we had some communication breakdowns in our first conversation. So apparently he isn't having "specks" or "sediment" but more of a dark color midstream. He said that

Insulin Enhances Migration and Invasion in PCa.

Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, and chronic kidney disease
In addition to hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease, I am shocked to hear that I have “mild chronic kidney disease” (CKD). On this forum people suggested having tests for glomerular filtration rate (GFR). So I had mine tested. My result is 76 ml/min/1.73 m2 which means I suffer from mild CKD (ref

I challenge you to give up refined sugars for a week!
Here is the challenge to you - ditch the refined sugar starting today for one week. Often we procrastinate and make excuses so the best way to beat the mind chatter and fear is to JUST DO IT!! Sugar is a huge contributor to disease - notice how our global consumption of this has massively increased in

Food-labelling skulduggery
Lytham's recipe for proper coleslaw reminded me to have a rant about something I noticed during my recent visit back to the UK. It seems "food" manufacturers now have even greater liberty to obfuscate the contents of their products, and I suspect a lot of people are buying these things blissfully unaware

GRAVES AND THYROTOXICOSIS : OTHER METABOLIC ASPECTS, CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM
The basal oxygen consumption in thyrotoxicosis, as measured by the BMR, is elevated. The increase is above the level of metabolism that the person would have if he or she were not thyrotoxic. In extreme thyrotoxicosis, the BMR may be double the standard, that is, according to the usual mode of expression

I have a small doubt whether we can use Glycomet GP 2 Forte ( GP 1000 MF 850) continuously in the morning and night before taking meal.Because my glucose levels are always more than 50 to 60 points than actual standard points.I have consulted one doctor and he has prescribed above tablets for my diabetic. But

More or less T4 with T3?
These are some bloods from a test a week ago. This is on 75 mcg of T4 & 30 mcg of T3. It looks to me like I'm converting the T4 into T3 pretty well. Feel good except for an occasional cold and a stiff neck that cracks like a knee popping sometimes. My endo doesn't want to prescribe any higher T4 without
