Denosumab

I am untrained and would like to hear if anyone sees a reason to add a dose of Denosumab. I have previously reported that my MO has been advocating for adding Xgeva to my treatment. The forum helped me process the wisdom of testing for indications it had value for me.

He has the following options. 1) Abiraterone with denosumab and prednisone 2) Join a clinical trial which combines the above along with immunotheraphy (pembrolizumab).

I had my bloods today and I see the Oncologist tomorrow - just hoping all ok and I can get my next course of palbociclib and Denosumab injection...... Thanks again. Jo xx

I also had Denosumab injection. As I had slight progression in my last scan in the left axillary Lymphadenopathy, it was suggested I have another scan in a few weeks just to dbl check which is fair enough. Aside from the remains of this cold, I feel great and I’m not in any pain.

Got my Denosumab injection too. As my last CT scan showed very slight progression in the left axillary lymphadenopathy he suggested I have another scan in a couple of weeks just to check on things which I think is fair enough.

I’m suffering my first cold since being treated for MBC and on treatment - palbociclib, letrozole, adcal & Denosumab injection. I had this terrible cold for a week now and I’m not feeling much better. I have a constant headache and feel so weak.

He is putting me on Fulvstrant in mean time with the Denosumab. I am getting a port o cath at the beginning of Dec and will be able to swim and use the bath and hot tub. Feeling very blessed. Thank you all for your support .

I will remain on the same meds, palbociclib, letrozole and Denosumab for now and have another scan in 3 months. My CA15-3 dropped a little to 84. I was upset at first, but decided I just need to get on with living life to the full. Thankfully I’m not in any pain. Jo xx

I'm very suspicious that this relapse could have been caused by a Prolia injection - see this link https://ancavasculitisnews.com/2019/03/18/denosumab-may-cause-anca-aav-case-report/ I would be interested if someone has also heard of this possibility.

Has anyone else been given the drug Taxel and the bone drug Denosumab. Sarah ❤️

I am keen to reduce my dose as quickly as possible as I also have Osteoporosis, and am now on Denosumab to protect my bones.

I am taking Letrezole, I have a 4 weekly injection of Denosumab and on Monday will start the Ibrance. I am wondering whether those on this medication still believe in taking Turmeric or dont feel that they should?

The benefits of radium-223 were accentuated if patients received concomitant bisphosphonates or denosumab.

My Father has never had radiation, chemo, xandti, enzalutamide, denosumab etc. What other treatments are viable at this stage?



Is the effects of Prolia (denosumab) leave the body quickly and generally disappear after one stops taking them? I was told that alendronate, Zolendronic acid stay in the bones after you stop taking them and will continue to work and offer protection even afer one stops taking them. Is it true?
