Anyone have any research or stories about whole body cryotherapy and CLL? I tried a 3 minuet liquid nitrogen cryotherapy today. My thinking was cold supposedly induces DNA repair and I doubt cold could do any real harm. I searched the site but didn’t see anything directly addressing this type of

Tachycardia and PACS 14 months post ablation.
Hi, I have had a good run of 14 months post-ablation for PAF, now I am starting to have frequent bouts of tachycardia and PACS, my EP has told me to take 2.5mg nebivolol and 150mg flecainide when necessary, (he is not aware of recent frequency) as these are becoming more frequent I am wondering if I

London NHS recommendations for treating arrhythmias
I have just moved to London & have ongoing heart arrhythmias that I’d like medical advice on. I wondered I’d anyone could kindly give me advice on the best NHS centre to be referred to in London? I was diagnosed with paroxysmal long RP atrial tachycardia in 2019 and I’m now 53 years old. I am currently

Focused ultrasound
I hear so much about PD patients receiving DBS, but I never hear about them opting for focussed ultrasound instead. According to this website, focused ultrasound will cure the motor symptoms of PD, but it would only be used on people with motor symptoms in one side of their body: https://www.fusfoundation.org

DBS
Hello PWP! I thought I’d let you know and share my journey with my husband who had the DBS surgery 6 weeks ago. 2 days ago the battery was turned on and will be adjusted weekly in the next 3 weeks until the right intensity is reached. I was personally hesitant for him to do this surgery as it sounded

Post operative delirium
I am new to the group and see how supportive it is. I think this is especially important at a time when many NHS hospitals, like mine in North London, are unable to provide a face to face cardiac rehabilitation service because their rooms have been repurposed. I was diagnosed with heart failure earlier

So Worried - update
We’ll, he’s still in hospital; they’ve tried various drugs unsuccessfully to bring the HR down. They’re planning a cardioversion today - bit anxious about it because he missed a dose of apixaban on Tuesday in all the kerfuffle of going into hospital! 🤞🤞it all goes ok and does the trick!

Importance of Blood Testing
Diagnosed with afib in Feb '21, taking .50gm of metoprolol to control heart rate. Recent blood test revealed glucose increased from 100 to 140 likely caused by metoprolol. Cardiologist currently considering other medications. (prior glucose readings were always below 110). Would encourage all to

A little disheartened!
So I'd rather keep things positive but I suppose I can only be honest! Its 7 weeks since ablation for afib. Before ablation I was symptomatic during afib (shortness of breath, dizzy and palpitations and sweating) but when it self terminated after a while I was generally fine. And could excersise generally

Hi I’m new, does anyone suffer from really low heart rate when not in AF?
I have been having AF off and on for the last three years. Over this last year it has increased in frequency. I am having it at least once a week, it usually lasts between 2 to 4 hours.I usually auto convert on my own, thank god.I have an iwatch which has been really helpful in keeping tabs on my EKG

Meds review
Hi to everyone and hope that you are keeping well, i had my annual meds review with the pharmacist over the phone, Dr's must still be in hibernation, anyway, went through them and got to the apixaban, told him that I monitor my blood pressure and he battered it away, just not interested, i asked what
