I hear so much about PD patients receiving DBS, but I never hear about them opting for focussed ultrasound instead. According to this website, focused ultrasound will cure the motor symptoms of PD, but it would only be used on people with motor symptoms in one side of their body:

Perhaps I have misunderstood about the procedure only being used on one side of the body....... Why not both sides? In addition, I wonder if American health insurance covers this procedure. Does it? Is it covered by the public health systems in the UK, Australia, Canada, France and elsewhere?
Is it really the miracle cure that the woman in the (above-linked) video says it was?
