PROBLEM WITH TOES
I have type 2 diabetes, since 2019 and my bloods are well controlled with Metformin. For the last couple of weeks my toes are very red and sometimes feel hot. Should I contact my gp.

Dapagliflozin - Blood sugar problem.
Hi folks. Firstly thanks for listening and hopefully replying. Had a difficult week. Been on Dapagliflozin 10mg (Forxiga) since April 2021 without issues. I am not diabetic and it is used as a drug for heart failure. It does take glucose out of blood into urine. Cardiology always tell me how great

Advice for a 19 year old with PCOS in the UK
My partners daughter has PCOS and I really don't think she is getting the help she needs. Metformin is making her very sick and has severe diarrhoea. Her weightloss just isn't happening. Any advice would really be appreciated

Prostate Cancer Patients Shouldn't be so Quick to Dismiss Metformin (despite some contrary opinions on Advanced Prostate Cancer forum)
([i]Note this study didn't include patients with prostate cancer. I post it to provide an alternative to postings here that discourage use of Metformin by prostate cancer patients. Metformin strengthens your immune system, reduces inflammation, moderates glucose levels, and provides resistance against

Nephrologist Visit
I saw the nephrologist today and am so glad that I did. First, she is a total sweetheart and spent a lot of time asking questions and really listening to the answers. Then she spent time telling me what she thinks happened and what she thinks will happen in the future. Everything was positive and

PCOS and insulin resistance
Hi I'm new, first post. I've had issues with a raised Hba1c for many years. After asking over and over, as I'm healthy weight and eat well, could it be linked to any other health condition, and being told no, finally after much research I've been diagnosed with PCOS. I've seen a specialist as

new meds. Are they good news?
hi. So I eventually met the heart failure team last week, 4 months after the doomster cardiac nurse told me over the phone that I had hf. The hf guy was brilliant and explained everything in plain terms and said that everything was relatively normal although a borderline ef of 45%. It was a relief as

Strange smell
Since I started on the drugs below, I seem to have a strange smell constantly in my nostrils. My wife says she can't smell anything. This strange chemical type smell is apparent in my pee too ( at least to me!) I'm due to see my HF nurse on Friday, but has anyone ever experienced this? I was diagnosed

SWITCHING TO INSULIN INJECTION FROM ORAL
As a Type 2, I have been managing my fasting sugar level of around 120 since the late 90s very successfully by following the devices of my USA-qualified Endocrinologist. My regular diet centered around LCHF with Diamicrone 80 twice a day. Covid-19 changed my whole system. After taking the 2nd dose
