Extreme tiredness
I have seen from other posts that bisoprolol and dapagliflozin can cause tiredness. I am on both and frankly I feel as if I am dragging myself around and can fall asleep as soon as I sit down. This is no way to live and am now suspecting that these two meds are a contributing factor. I have tried

A few months back there was a thread about Trulicity/Jardiance. I had mentioned I had started on both of them, and someone said to let them know how it goes. Background: I have CKD and am a T-2 diabetic. I'd been on Metformin since almost the beginning, about 20 years. In Jan my neph ran the new

Mitral Valve Leak
I had an echocardiogram to see if my ejection fraction had improved after starting Dapagliflozin and Eplenernone a few months ago. My ejection fraction then was about 30-35% and he said it is now moderately impaired with an ejection fraction around 41%. Worryingly the mitral valve has leaked

Dapagliflozin and alcohol. Whats your experiences? Is this ok to drink and take?
I have not long started this and had 2 small glasses of red wine and feel nausea with it. Is this drug not meant to be mixed at all?

My thyroid battle.
I have posted on here a few times since xmas about my battle to get my hypothyroidism taken more seriously by my doctor. Due to my surgrey having major staffing issues( they turned E-Consult off for a week) I decided to switch surgeries to another one in town which my partner was registered at. Once

Metformin side effects on muscles
Anyone experience muscle problems after starting metformin? I'm in good physical shape and very active, but a golf swing tore my hip muscle several weeks after starting metformin.

So started this med 2 days ago and last night went to bed feeling tired and almost drowsy on the verge or vertigo type of feeling. Managed to get off and sleep decent except for some nightmares which is also unusual. Woke up feeling like i could go back to bed and feeling drowsy, or a feeling of floating

Dapagliflozin and Furosemide together?
Hello everyone. Hope your all doing great. Just started Dapa today to add to the list (entresto, betas, apixban, eporlenone and Furosemide). I understand dapa acts as a diuretic like Furosemide. Are these drugs ok to take together. I never really liked Furosemide as it never really increased my need

Metformin: crpc why continue
Hi last PSA 8.1 with psadt of 1.5 months so waiting for inevitable crpc news. Wondering why I should continue with Metformin which has caused me b12 malabsoption problems. Would love to stop but probably will continue minimum dose that could have heart and kidney benefits as highlighted in the following

Clinical biomarker-based biological aging and risk of cancer in the UK Biobank
A largely Swedish study using UK data [1]. The only thing that experts agree on concerning the causes of PCA, is that risk increases with chronicological age. The new study used three different calculations of "biological" age, expecting to get a better age measure for the risk of various cancers.

Forxiga. Dapagliflozin. Due to start this drug. Any good? Sides? How does it actually work for the heart? Any improvements?
The information leaflet says it helps diabetes by removing excess sugar in the body thus helping treat that condition. For heart failure it just says it helps protect the heart from getting weaker. It can help patients live longer. But it does not actually say how this works. Can anyone explain? I

Second anniversary of HA and hopefully we’ll on the mend
Good reason to celebrate today as it’s two years to the day that my life was saved by those wonderful NHS folks. Suffered a Stemi / widow maker, but 4 stents got me up and running again. Luckily I live only 8 minutes away from the Leicester Glenfield Heart Unit and an ambulance was in the area. From
