Glycation - Atherosclerosis, Cancer, Diabetes, Aging, Alzheimers and Cataracts
Glycation is the process of a sugar molecule such glucose or fructose attaching itself to a protein molecule. This leads to the formation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End products) in the body which damages cells and tissues - this accelerates the aging process by 7-fold. The HbA1C biomarker is a measure

🍇 My tiny fruit bowl 🍇
I’m very good at buying fruit but not so good at actually eating it. I usually grab bananas and apples and often they start to get past their best so I decided to buy fruit that I would actually eat. So I have this tiny fruit bowl which is actually a rose bowl. I bought a small bunch of grapes, small

Help with supplements/dosing please?
Hello (I am currently on 25mcg a day of levo. I definitely feel underactive, having particular problems with inflamed gums that I have posted separately about. I also have Grave's disease (in remission)). Had blood test in December to check my vitamin levels, would welcome thoughts on changes to supplementation

What the Hell is going on here? Norfolk's Endo's won't even see my wife for her Hashi's "Can't/Won't do anything" Outrageous!
I had blood tests last September which confirms I have auto-immune thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s). Plus other issues which may be drug interaction related. I asked for a referral to the local NHS Endocrinologists (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and was given a Choose and Book set up where there were

Banned?
Hi. From a previous post on here, I was told that I was banned from further posts, because I made some ill informed derogatory remarks, which I apologise for, but I am desperate to try and seek an answer to my health problems. So I thought I would try and see if I have been banned! I have been through

Confused over blood results
Hi, I’ve posted before about issues I’ve had with what appears to be an under active thyroid...so now I’ve got blood results (which might as well be in Spanish!) so I’m hoping that someone here might be able to put them into simple English. In April last year I had a blood test that showed: Thyroid

The Flu
This is not exactly related to depression or anxiety, but it reflects some growth on my part. I usually do not get sick. Even if I feel I am coming down with something, I can usually fight it off. Christmas night I had a tiny cough come on. Wednesday I woke up with a full blown cough and asthma.
