Alcohol (Ethanol) & PCa - Do You Drink? Can Risks Be Mitigated?
The most referenced substance for combating acetaldehyde is N-acetyl
cysteine
(NAC). Oxidative stress combined with acetaldehyde causes a profound impairment of the body's natural antioxidant systems, by depleting stores of a compound called glutathione.

I also think the N-acetyl-
cysteine
and glutathione had been helping reduce the mucin in my legs and tongue. For the first time since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and told by my doctor I had full blown myxedema, I am hopeful that I will recover.

The Human Serum Metabolome of Vitamin B-12 Deficiency and Repletion, and Associations with Neurological Function in Elderly Adults
Metabolomic changes from before to after treatment included increases (P < 0.001) in acylcarnitines, plasmalogens, and other phospholipids, whereas proline and other intermediaries of one-carbon metabolism—that is, methionine and

NAC supp continued
I've been taking it (N-acetyl
cysteine
) with Dr approval. I tried two short tests last Dec and it seemed to help. My latest test has been going for ~ 2 months and is less obviously successful. At the start in Feb I took 600 mgm while I was still on HU only, at 500.

You Might Want to Stock Up On NAC (if you use it)
I just noticed things may be heating up again: A U.S. congressman has requested FDA answer several questions regarding the agency’s “sudden change of policy” outlined in 2020 warning letters to dietary supplement firms marketing NAC (N-acetyl-L-
cysteine
) in their products. https://www.naturalproductsinsider.com

Somebody asked me to look at Wasabi (and I can't remember who) for PD
We identified aldo–keto reductase family 1 member C1, C2, C3 (AKR1C1, AKR1C2, AKR1C3), and glutamate-
cysteine
ligase modifier subunit (GCLM) for metabolizing enzymes.

Is anyone on Endometriosis treatment taking supplements for IVF egg quality?
After reading ‘it starts with the egg’ I am looking to start taking the supplements recommended to help with egg quality if one has endometriosis i.e DHEA, Ubiquonol (CoQ10), Vitamins D & E, N-Acetyl
Cysteine
and Alpha Lipoic Acid.

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
There are researchers who propose precursors such as N-acetyl-
cysteine
or NAC (Schapira 1990, Martinez 1999, Shahripour 2014, Monti 2019), which cross the blood-brain barrier more easily or substances that restore the glutathione level inside cells (alpha lipoic acid, silymarin from milk thistle, melatonin

Smart Choice starts with You! I made what I called: Koko Bar 😁👍😋❤️🌺
It is legume protein which is much lower in methionine and
cysteine
compared to animal protein. Trail mix has no artificial flavors, preservative free, low in sodium, and a good source of magnesium which are great for antioxidants and heart health.
