7 Months on a ventilator and counting due to covid
for the most part she is on
CPAP
at around 28% FiO2 and pressure support and PEEP of 20/5. Although RT's still have to sometimes get her back on A/C at 35% FiO2 to give her body a rest, things are looking more promising now. I just pray that mom will be home soon.

Stridor in MSA
Also, have you tried
CPAP
as a treatment to help with the breathing and reduce fatigue?

Dnacpr without family consent for Covid patient
Mum has been in hospital for 50 days, oxygen level 28-30% and is on
cpap
mode on ventilator. Lungs are still damaged from Covid and isn’t moving the left side of her body although ct scan of brain came back clear. She’s moving the other side fine and is even waving at us through video call.

My friend suggested using a
CPAP
mask(https://www.cpapoutlet.ca/en/Masks) to eliminate sleep apnea. What do you guys think is this the right method to avoid sleep apnea. Please share your thoughts regarding this. Thanks!"

Exercise recovery times
I also have to sleep on average 10 hours (on
cpap
) a night. My o2 sats are usually low 90’s without my preventer and about 96% when used. When I exercise I can get dizzy so I know that my o2 levels drop. Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same sort of problems.

Update: Hashimoto s new to taking meds helpless, jitters....
I also can't use the
CPAP
very well, can't fall asleep, it's for breathing not falling asleep. Maybe my tongue falls back and wakes me, its enlarged, a hypo symptom too. Also got pins and needles 1 1/2 years ago suddenly, in my toes- now in calves.

Non stop sneezing
I thaught maybe my
cpap
machine causing that or just a sinus issue happening . I havnt had sinus problems for 2 years and rarely have colds even though I’m supposed to be immune compromised. So I will try a sinus rinse . It worked well last time I had this happening . Has anyone experience this ?

Obstructive sleep apnea and Parkinson's
I do, and I just went on
cpap
therapy recently. Noticing a slight improvement in most symptoms and hoping that with continued diligence I can improve more.

Dry Mouth Remedies?
I am on oxygen 24/7, sleep with a
CPAP
machine and take prednisone for advanced PF and 'usual' medications for a heart condition. I'm becoming increasingly bothered by a dry mouth, especially on waking even though I am not a mouth breather. Are there any effective remedies out there?

Doctors use existing treatment earlier to save the lives of Covid-19 patients.
He said: “We show that Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (
CPAP
) in the first days of hospitalisation seems to save between 10% to 20% of patients.

Neurontin
I use a
cpap
machine for sleep apnea and I have been on trazadone for a long time to try to resolve this. But it persists. I’m wondering about talking to my doc about trying Neurontin at bed time. Its main purpose is not to help with sleep but I’ve read that it might possibly get me back on track.

Study explores sleep apnea, autoimmune disease link.
The main treatment is continuous positive airway pressure, or
CPAP
, which pumps air through a mask to keep the airway open. About 40% of patients can’t tolerate
CPAP
. Bradley Phillips led the study and is the director of UGA’s Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute.

Dangers of Opioids for treatment of RLS
but the worst problem was a frightening claustrophobia that was so severe I was unable to use my
cpap
machine to breathe. Prior to the use of opoids, I had never ever experienced any form of claustrophobia.

Untreated sleep apnea is associated with flu hospitalization.
Results of the retrospective study show that 61% of patients (17 of 28) who either weren’t prescribed
CPAP
to treat their sleep apnea or weren’t adherent to their
CPAP
treatment were hospitalized with the flu, compared with 24% of patients (6 of 25) who were adherent to
CPAP
therapy.

Hashimotos, new to taking meds, helpless jitters, indecision with no direction here
I couldn't handle
CPAP
last APRIL/ May. (Did a sleep study that said I had mild sleep apnea. I fall sleep on right side with small dose mirtazapine now, breathe only thru nose, not mouth now, so if stuffy nose, I don't sleep. I felt all these symptoms are thyroid related, hypo.

COVID x STROKE
He is awake but is on a ventilator alternating with
CPAP
via a tracheostomy. He can’t speak because of the tracheostomy and has no movement at all in his right side. We obviously haven’t even able to visit him because if Covid and he is now refusing FaceTime visits.
