Licorice to help their low cortisol ?
I am wondering if anyone has had any positive experience of taking licorice to encourage, and increase their low cortisol ? My early morning cortisol has been low for a while now, and at each Saliva report, the increase in the early morning sample is small !! So I'm thinking of trying some licorice

Cortisol results help....
My serum Cortisol result is 598 with no range given, blood was drawn at 9.20am. I had it done as I don't feel brilliant! Apparently it's in range but I'm wondering whether it's a bit high. Any help you lovely people can give me would be much appreciated. 🤓

Adrenal insufficiency: a general information post (does not replace medical advice)
Hi all - I just wrote an absolute essay in response to a question about adrenal insufficiency (AI from now on in this post) from steroids. Since this is a question that may crop up periodically (I know I've answered it before), I thought I would copy it here for general information, and to link to in

High Cortisol blood test
I got my blood cortisol test results tonight. I did it at 8.15am. It was 983 (113-456). In March it was 907. Since the March test I have added T3 to my levo. I’m now on 40mcg of T3 in three split doses. I’m also on 50mcg of levo that I take at night. I am waiting for the results of a cortisol saliva

Tips to improve under responding adrenals please
Hello, I did a synachthen test and my results were: Serum cortisol after 1/2hr: 471nmol/L, Range >550 Serum cortisol after 1 hour: 560nmol/L, Range >550 As you can see, my adrenals are slightly under responding Does anyone have tips to improve this, especially as a random blood cortisol test also showed

Worried about a hastened taper ...
I am feeling well (apart from an injured shoulder which she offered to inject with
cortisone
), and now, after following the DSNS taper to 9mgs, she wants me to go to 8 for 1 week, dropping 1mg each week until 5mgs, and then 1mg every 4 weeks.

1st Endo Consultation.
I had my 1st endo consult today by phone. She was lovely, a little concerned that my cortisol was low and has asked for a 9am blood cortisol along with thyroid, ferritin and vits d&b to be re-tested. Is this the usual way to proceed?

Feel weak after eating and drinking
Something I’ve noticed increasing over the past few months is a feeling of extreme weakness and exhaustion after eating and drinking. When I wake I feel relatively ok, after breakfast I’d be happy to return to bed or just stare at the wall for the rest of the day. I’ve discovered I have low cortisol

High cortisol and levothyroxine increase
I’m a little lost in yesterday’s thread and not sure if I missed some answers. I thought I’d do a new one and include a more close up picture but I can’t attach two pictures it seems. I will also address cushings: I do not have any symptoms of cushings. I have not gained weight. In fact I’ve lost weight

Saliva cortisol test results please help
Need help please. Cortisol test results. I am really shocked tbh. I thought my cortisol would be on the floor with how I’ve been feeling lately. I don’t have any stressors I can currently remove. This is against a background of upping levothyroxine to 100ug over three months ago. Then a few weeks ago

I’m on
cortisone
tablets 30 mg for 4 weeks ( this is my 3 week) after that I’m guessing I should start to decrease. My appointment for checking muscle and nerves reaction has been cancelled. I have an appointment for an ecg that is still on but I’m guessing it will be cancelled soon .

Cortisol Testing in the UK.
Hi everyone. I'm new here and would like to ask some advice please. I'm a T3, Liothyronine patient and have been for almost 20 years. I had been on adrenal support (prescription) for many years but came off it last year. I am now really suffering again with adrenal insufficiency. The endo is sending
