why would my T3 be high in the range with T4 mid range? After a few hard months of GP changing my meds I’m now back up to 175mcg of Levo. Just had my results and they are nothing I’ve had before it’s always T4 above my T3 .Just wondering why and what might have caused this ? TSH. 0.11 0.55-4.78

results comparison - question around conversion…
hi there I have posted a few times in the past - more recently about my private dr suggesting T3 medication route. After getting advice on her I decided not to pursue that at this time and instead titrate my T4 / Levo up a step (from 50mcg to 75mcg daily) - have just done blood test after 8 weeks

Test results show no inflammation
I posted here 4 months ago and got my blood tested by the GP. There are no inflammatory markers in my blood, but I have a constant sore throat and dry eyes which are also beginning to suffer with high pressure. I am paying privately to have my eyes checked out by a specialist, but I just wanted to check

Giving levo another go...
Hi thyroid community, I have been diagnosed with 'sub clinical' hypothyroidism (due to autoimmune condition) in the last few years and my life has been shit ever since as I'm sure many can relate. I didn't get on very well with levothyroxine during my first trial, but I decided to persist giving it

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. 🥳This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual

Update after GP call
Had my call with the GP that I mentioned in my last posts. That was a bit of a disaster, although not as bad as it could have been. She did not read my notes or blood test results before the call. She asked me about symptoms, but was only concerned about weight gain and dry skin. I had already gone

Normal TSH, but High FT4?
Hi everyone, Despite two endocrinologists confirming my thyroid is 'normal', I'm experiencing symptoms of an overactive thyroid like sweating, anxiety, and weight issues. My recent blood tests show a TSH of 1.58 mIU/L (optimal) but an FT4 of 24.4 pmol/L, which the lab deems high. I've heard that reference

Can levothyroxine cause hypothyroidism?
This happened about 25 years ago: I had hashimoto's and a large goiter, but tsh and thyroid hormones were normal. Before starting levo I had some symptoms: dry, fine hair, some cognitive issues... but I felt almost healthy and was active 17 hours a day). When levo was prescribed, I felt very cold and

The ongoing battle to be well
Since I had Graves diagnosed years ago have struggled with levothyroxine alone..had RAI ...although my previous doctor gave me a private prescription for Thybon Henning Liothyronine. Which I have got - but due to house move changed doctors..present one said it would not help so I did not take it!!

Help with introduction of T3 please…..
Good morning, I would truly love some guidance on how best to introduce T3. My private endo has now prescribed T3 to commence with 5mcg twice a day. He would like me to drop my levo from 100 to 75 at the same time. I am trialing T3 due to poor conversion and all the usual symptoms which accompany

Background I have a lifelong hereditary condition known as FAP. Because of this I have had several surgeries to remove my whole colon and rectum. In 2009 I had surgery to create what is called a J pouch, which is made from approximately the last 40cm of terminal ileum. Current issues. Recent blood

Tibilone experiences
Hi. I have very severe endometriosis and adenomyosis and am awaiting surgery which will likely involve having a stoma. I’ve previously had left ovary removed and both tubes and I’ve recently been told my right ovary is failing. Unfortunately there was been little improvement to my Endometriosis even

Mum's battle
Hi all, Mum has suffered from adrenal insufficiency over the past 15 years, as well as pernicious anemia, hypothyroidism, low WBC count and was hospitalised several times with low electrolytes. The electrolyte imbalance was caused by the cortisol acetate supplement she takes. She was numerous doctors

Thyroid or menopause - which to sort first?
I've just checked the app, and the last of my blood tests are back. I definitely have started perimenopause and as per my last post I have high TPOab, high TSH (7.5 with high ref being 4.26), and lowish T4 (14.2 of a 12—22 range). I have symptoms that overlap the two conditions, but also symptoms that

First lab results after returning to T4 mono therapy. Comments and suggestions welcome.
On 18 December 23, after two and a half years on T4 / T3 dual therapy, my lab results were: TSH: 0.604 mU/l (Range 0.2 - 5) 8.42% FT3: 3.04 pmol/l (Range 1.8 - 4.5) 45.93% FT4: 12.7 pmol/l (Range 7 - 20) 43.85% I had been on 75 T4 and 10 T3 for six weeks (and 88 /6 or 12 for months before.)
