Covid
I caught covid, but am doing well now and back to working from home. One of my housemates have caught it now. Hopefully I can go away at Christmas but will have to wait and see, my parents are retired and Mum suffers health problems. I am looking forward to 2 weeks off work. I started doing a computer

Worsening tinnitus and spaciness - vaccine/menopause?
Hello everyone, I had my second covid booster six weeks ago and two days after I developed a spacey/dizzy, unreal feeling, which remains today. The fairly mild tinnitus that I’d had for over 30 years started to get increasingly louder about a week later. Following an MRI which unfortunately significantly

Fostair finished and can't get any until tomorrow/Covid too
I have Covid and was taking my Fostair as prescribed by practitioner nurse. Today I noted it was empty. I have still got my old Budesonide and Salbutamol left from when I switched over in October. Can I use this until I get supply tomorrow?

Potential New Treatment for “Brain Fog” in Long COVID Patients
Although brain fog in thyroid patients has often been dismissed by medics (whether not understood, not believed, or some other reason, I cannot say). However, it is coming through as a recognised symptom of Long Covid. Hopefully, even if the actual detailed causes are slightly or radically different

15 month update, Covid Pneumonia, the road to recovery
The last few months have been odd, yesterday, I got an automated call from the NHS, to give me an appointment at the long covid / pulmonary clinic. I turned it down, for two reasons. Firstly it was 12 months late. To explain the second point, lets look back at whats happened since October 2022. I

New Here — Most Recent Arrhythmia
Hi, all — I initially posted this to the Afib Forum but just found this group, which seems more appropriate. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended

Dofitilide without Afib??
Hi, all — not sure this is the right place to be, since it doesn’t really appear that I have AFib. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended up going

Covid Tests for Vulnerable People
Dear All, I am repeating on this Forum, a 'Post' I put on the Kidney Transplant forum, regarding Covid Test Availability. Essentially these Test ARE 'Still Available' to Vulnerable People. Solid Organ Transplant recipients, like myself, automatically 'qualify'- as might many 'others' on here. You can

Covid Self Tests, For Vulnerable Folk.
Dear all, The 'Availability' of Free Covid Tests is now 'Limited To Certain Groups', however Sold Organ Transplant Patients ARE Included. If you do want to 'Order' some, then go to 'gov.uk', rather than 119- or the Normal Covid Site. I found this out after 'Chasing My Tail', for about forty minutes.

I added Mucinex to my list of DO NOT TAKE over the counter meds.
Well, I finally got IT... yes, covid. My husband came home with it and four days later I came down with it. I was trying to get ahead of it by taking Mucinex the second night so I could prevent it spreading into my lungs as much as possible. My whole body jerked and thrashed all night long plus I

Digoxin side effects or post covid
I just had a blood check to find that in the last few months my iron levels have dropped quite a bit. Now I have read that digoxin can affect iron levels and so can post covid . I have a fairly mild infection about 8 weeks ago. I also understand low iron can actually cause a fib? Any ideas welcome

Finally Covid Antibiodies
Good morning I finally made some Covid antibodies after a bout with Covid. Not many, 1353, however, it is something. Not sure how long they will last.

Due to Finish Steroids but Still Covid Positive
Hi! Last Wednesday I became very unwell, eventually Thursday morning the dreaded 2 lines appeared on my LFTs! After the initial 25/48 hours the actual illness seems to have improved, my temperature has come down and stayed down no issue, and I just feel completely weak and wiped out! I spoke to GP

Covid MRNA vaccine and PBC
I've had PBC since diagnosis 2008. Treatment with URSO and bezafibrate keeps things reasonably stable. I believe in vaccines so have taken 4 Covid shots up to April 22.Soon after April dose I developed very bad pains in hips, thighs, shoulders and upper arms. To cut a long story short, this turned out

Covid test nasal swab probes
Hi all -- Does anyone know if one can get covid test nasal swab probes separately from the other components, without having to buy new kits? I have plenty of the tests, the tubes, and the wash buffer blisters. But somehow I ran out of the nasal swabs. A search on amazon only gave me whole kits (and

Covid Vaccine After Rituximab - Timimg
I must admit I am at a bit of a loss on this one due to the conflicting information I am getting. I had my last Rituximab in November and I have been offered another Covid Jab. Now I know the NHS system isn’t complexed enough to deduce timings however I have heard so many different timescales that determine
