Audible clicking noises
I’m 5 weeks post CABG, and all’s great so far. I’m having a few ‘loud’ bone clicking noises ‘from somewhere in there’ as I do exercises stretching chest and moving arms and rib-cage. Is this a natural part of healing or should I worry about?

How did my dad get so sick so fast? Treatment emergent metastatic small cell cancer of the prostate.
Hi everyone. Unfortunately, our world has been turned upside down. My father has recurrent prostate cancer that seemed to be well controlled with ADT, but in fact had mutated into Small Cell Carcinoma of the Prostate. He has gotten so sick, so quickly, and we're not sure exactky why. We are concerned

Flu jab post stent
Hi all. I have a flu jab every year due to my type 1 diabetes as I’m higher risk with flu. The first drive through flu clinic at my gp surgery is in a couple of weeks. how long after a stent is it safe to have the flu jab? Would it be detrimental to my seemingly slow recovery? I’m still bruised from

Monkey whispering in my ear
I’m 5 weeks into double bypass CABG recovery and feeling really good. So good that a monkey on my shoulder has started to whisper in my ear such things as AF and STROKE. I think I maybe need a good telling off and a kick, and need to get on with my life now, (I’m very lucky to be fixed) OR are these

ANTICOAGULANTS - HOW LONG ARE PEOPLE ON THEM AFTER STENTS
I have been on anticoagulants since I had my stent put in last year in July. Since then I have only see the cardiologist once because of the Covid. The prescription comes to an end in October. I am very pleased with that as I hate them. The make me feel quite ill. I am trying to get an appointment

Just checking please - 48 bpm
Hi fellow heart-people I hope you are all well. It’s my four week anniversary of CABG double bypass and doing well so far ! I hope this progress continues. I bought an apple watch and perhaps have become too obsessed by the heart monitor. It is showing my BPM at rest as 48/49. I’m on Amiaderone for

Rami[pril and Bisoprol combined leading to excessive tiredness
Hello all... I had a very successful Angioplasty 2 weeks ago at the Wycombe Hospital and would like to thank the team there again. I had one stent fitted on the Circumflex artery which was 85% narrowed. I am now on the usual cocktail of drugs and wonder what other peoples experience of Ramipril and

Apixaban
My warfarin has been ceased and I have been commenced on Apixaban. Since taking Apixaban I have been breathless and feel tight in the chest. I have had double CABG and a bovine valve replacing my aortic valve. Any suggestions should I go back to warfarin or continue with the Apixaban for a few more

Know About Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting

Has anyone decided between CABG and a crush stent procedure (several stents lined back to back or one crushed so it can form a V)?
My dad had an angiogram this afternoon and the doctors are weighing these two options. I'm not familiar with these stent procedures and really worried about my dad. Any advice would be appreciated.

Feeling Tired....all the time.
Hi, I was diagnosed with Angina May 2019 and subsequently had a stent fitted. All was great pretty much straight away I was back to my normal self. I am quite active until recently working outdoors fulltime and keeping myself fit. I am on a variety of medication ie. Atorvastatins, Amplodipine, Bisoprolol

Muscle wasting
Hi all. My mum is 77 and had a heart attack and heart failure six months ago. They couldn’t put a stent in her blocked artery so she’s just managing off medication. It’s been a slow process but she’s doing okay. The one thing I’m worried about is that she looks to be losing all her muscle mass and actually

Blood clot after heart attack
Hi, I have just joined this community after my Husbands heart attack. He had the attack monday 31st and had 2 stents inserted, he was meant to be released from hospital Friday but they are now keeping him in probably until Wednesday. This is because he has a blood clot and he is now on warfarin.
