Stent recovery
Hi I had a HA in December last year, which resulted in me having 4 stents fitted. I am 48 & general fit guy with no history of heart problems don’t smoke & only drink socially. I am on the usual cocktail of meds after HA. 6 months on I still have the odd chest pain burning sensation. I have spoken to

Angiogram No7 in three years

Update
Just thought I’d give a little update! So I’d had a stent fitted to relieve a 90% blockage in my LAD artery in November 2021. I was therefore started on Prasugrel (antiplatelet med) in addition to the 75mg daily aspirin I was already taking. They then found I have a moderately leaky aortic valve. Being

Newbie and nervous
Afternoon from sunny Wales :) My husband had a heart attack 7 weeks ago, just unlucky they said, as hes normally fit, no diabetes, no family history. But he had a stent fitted. We've had another echo last week, and his ejection fraction had gone from 32.5% just after the attack, to 40%. He had a call

Happy anniversary
Well just thought I’d drop by and say happy 2nd anniversary to me. STEMI with sudden cardiac arrest x2 and luckily only 1 stent, called Bruce, fitted on 27 June 2020. Since my blip I’ve started hiking, completed the great Birmingham 10k, travelled to places I’ve always wanted to go, and generally living

Re earlier post on different forum.
A thorax CT in September identified coronary artery disease. An angiogram in November verified extent of above as moderate to severe calcification in the LAD vessel. You would have thought drug therapy would have commenced immediately to prevent either a stroke or heart attack but NO, it wasn’t until

ADT options for BCR oligometastesis
Recent Auxmin and PSMA scans show that my husband has BCR oligometastesis (MRI shows nothing). It seems there are two different treatment options/opinions: 1. Lupron OR Eligard OR Firmagon OR Orgovyx for a few months and then radiation, then continue hormone therapy for 1-1.5 years 2. Lupron OR Eligard

Low blood pressure
Hi all, 1 year on from my stent and all going well, however for the past week, I've been getting dizzy spells. I went to my gp who diagnosed low BP and told me to keep hydrated and rest, which I have done but still getting the dizzyness. It feels like a very mild electric shock in my head sometimes

A couple of personal anniversarys one biggish and one huge.
Twelve months ago I was moved from Shrewsbury cardiac ward to Wolverhampton so that I could be given a angiogram, so I smoked my last cigarette exactly 365 days ago to the minute, I stubbed it out and got into the ambulance at 09.00, and I was not allowed outside of new cross for another eight days.

Slight swelling and pain in right hand one week post angiogram procedure. Should I be worried?
My procedure went well and I didn’t require a stent which is good news. I’m only needing to take statins. However 5 days post procedure I noticed the swelling on my forearm just above wrist ( opposite side of wrist to the wound site which is healing well). I did rest it post procedure followed all guidance

Monomil after stent?
Hi all, I had a stent fitted yesterday and the pharmacy discharge letter says that my monomil has now been discontinued. Is this normal? Will it do any harm if I continue to take it until I get clarification from the cardiologist? Cheers.

Recent echo after A/F diagnosis
Had a 3X CABG 19 years ago ( I'm 69 now) and just 3 months back had a bout of A/F which was treated with the usual Bisoprolol and Warfarin (bad reaction to Apixaban so that was a no go). Had the echo 3 weeks ago and was given the results yesterday - valves working well but Ejection fraction down to 40
