Going in For Second Ablation
Hi folks! I had my first ablation over four years ago, at Texas Cardiac Arrythmia with Dr. Andrea Natale. I wasn't able to come off my medication after, but the meds then worked to control my afib and numerous PVCs where it didn't pre-ablation. During these four years I had been taking 50 mg of Flecainide

Oral Solution Levothyroxine - GP is denying me my repeat prescription after it normalised my TSH
I have just been denied my repeat prescription of 100mcg Oral Solution after being on it for months. I was switched by my GP to the liquid version after my TSH resulted in abnormal levels (from being consistently below 1 for years) over the course of a year of increasing dosages. My TSH normalised to

Pre-lap medical treatment
ESHRE guidance on pre-lap medical treatment.
There is no evidence of benefit on surgical outcome so medical treatment should be for pain only and the patient's choice. Some surgeons like you to be on GnRH agonists (eg zoladex) to make surgery easier; others like to see inflammation and endo in

Coming off pill before surgery
does anyone know if people should come off oral contraceptive before lap dignostic surgery? Does it make it harder to see endo if someone is on the pill up until surgery? Or does it not make any difference

Contraceptive pill
I used trust pills on about 3 months then I stop taking after I finished the 3rd pack. After 4 days I started taking a different pill which is micropil on my 6th day period. We had sex on my 3rd day of taking the pill. Is there a posibility that I can get pregnant?

Pill suggestions
Hiya, I've recently come off Sayana press jab due to horrendous weight gain. Just wondering if anyone can suggest a contraceptive pill that's worked well for them and not affected them too badly. I can't deal with bleeding almost everday and my bloating is horrendous. many thanks 😊

I'm on
contraception
and have been since 17, during my teen years I had heavy periods but
contraception
has made this not an issue. I've been told my pelvic region is clean and I'm being referred to the pain management centre. Does anyone have any experiences of this?

2 Year Cancerversary
Hey all, This month marks two years since my diagnosis of stage four cancer. I’ve been trying to come up with ways to commemorate my cancerversary. I have a few ideas, but I thought I would go to the HU brain trust for some more innovative options. Here’s what I have so far… • Open up my supply

OCT scan at opticians and brain clot
Recently someone complained about being charged £10 for an OCT scan at a well known opticians. It was certainly worth the money for me. The optometrist noticed changes from my previous annual scan, some swelling of the nerves and a slight bleed. She advised me to go to A&E to have it checked out.

Bigeminy HR confusion. 31 bpm or 62 bpm?
Hi all, l wonder if anyone can explain if a PVC is actually a beat to be counted in the bpm total. My husband was experiencing palpitations tonight, which is not unusual for him. His fitbit said 62 bpm. Taking his pulse manually l recorded 31 bpm, counting for the whole minute. I counted the prominent

Breakthrough episode (Update)
My EP only put me on a miniscule dosage of sotalol as I was doing it out of hospital and couldn't be directly monitored (40mg twice a day). I feel 1000 times better, no kidding, since starting the sotalol even at this low dose. No more daily PVCs, no more extreme fatigue. After checking my QTC to

PVCs and sleep/screentime
Suffered from PVCs since my early 20s (now late 40s) - usually just the odd afternoon a couple of times a year and the occasional noticeable skip. Around the vaccines and covid they went full-time, bigeminy, prolonged pvcs and multiple trips to cardio/a&e. All benign and supposedly not frequent enough
