Saw a tele-psychiatrist for 10 mins and got prescribed Strattera.. Am I diagnosed?
It's not the kind of drug I wanted, I want the tried-and-true ADHD medication like
Concerta
or Adderall, not this delayed onset wannabe anti-depressant with crazy side-effects with potential for permanent changes to brain proteins.

Evening struggles
Since then i started taking
Concerta
and now stable on a 36mg dose. It really helps me during the day, but in the evening when the meds are out of my system I really feel restles. Racing thoughts and i can't decide what to do.

How will Concerta affect my son?
His doctor prescribed
Concerta
and I was wondering if anyone who has experience with this medication can give me some advice. I am very nervous about putting him on meds because of the side effects. Anything shared (good or bad) is appreciated.

Tics on Concerta?
My 8 year old son has been on
Concerta
for about a year. He developed a tic for the first time about 6 months ago. It stayed for about two weeks, while gradually changing, then went away. He’s developed another tic about two weeks ago and it also has gradually changed over the two week period.

Medication/ Brilla
He’s been on
Concerta
for about 5 years. We’ve lowered the dose raised the dose, tried a afternoon dose, basically everything. I don’t think they are working for him. Yes he is calmer, but he still gets moody, and his school work is not improving. I still think focus is a huge issue.

Intuniv
She did not tolerate stimulants- biphentin, vyvanse,
concerta
at the lowest doses. Made her extremely irritable, mood swings.

On to drug #2
Now we are starting at 18mg of
concerta
and are seeing more energy/in-attentiveness and he’s more “himself” again. Although that is great he’s still unable to function at school.

Medication NOT Working
He has been on
Concerta
, Risperidone, Fluoxitine, Ritalin. The school feels that he has significant anxiety/ocd symptoms at school. He is currently taking 96mg of
Concerta
with minimal effect. Any success with meds for others not mentioned here?

ADHD and Puberty
My son is 12 1/2 and has been on
Concerta
(generic) for 6 years. It was the first medicine he tried and we were so fortunate that it was the right one. We’ve tweaked the dose over the years but it was working fine until just recently.

New & Concerta Q’s
He prescribed me
concerta
. I started out at two 18 mg tablets in the am. I was on this dosage for 8 weeks. I returned for a follow up visit. Initially for the first two weeks I felt really motivated and eager on this dose but it wore off. I explained this at my appointment.

Concerta and weight loss
I am about to start
Concerta
. I’m 19 and have adhd. I’ve never been on medication before. One thing I am worried about it weight loss. I mean it’s not going to kill me to lose a few, but I was just wondering how quickly people lost weight and how much? I just want to know what to expect.

Has anyone else had positive experiences with
Concerta
? I am very hopeful that this 1st day was a glimpse of normalcy for her 🙏🏼

We Opted Out of IEP. Does anyone here been through the same?
I’m a mom to an 11 year-old boy (turning 12 this month) with a diagnosis of Mild Autism and ADHD (on
Concerta
). I’m from Canada and l am grateful of the funding we are receiving here. But we opted out of IEP on Sep. 2018 because we believe it’s not working for him.

Atrail fibrillation getting worse
I haven’t taken the af seriously before as I have adhd which I take
concerta
for. Which is a stimulant! I shouldn’t take them anymore but they help me concentrate on my studies and work. I just don’t know what to do about my af. Any replies welcome.
