Concerta

I haven’t taken the af seriously before as I have adhd which I take concerta for. Which is a stimulant! I shouldn’t take them anymore but they help me concentrate on my studies and work. I just don’t know what to do about my af. Any replies welcome.

My daughter is on Concerta (36mg) but she struggles to swallow the pill and we go through at least 2 pills a day before we *actually* swallow one. It’s tempting to cut it in half but we all know what happens when we do that...

My son is 13 and has been on Concerta for 6-7 years at various doses. He is currently on Strattera 40mg and Concerta 36mg daily. He's off of Concerta in the summer.

A friend of mine recommended Concerta as a starting place. Also, wondering if we should start on the meds first and then introduce the Hardy micronutrients (DEN) or vice versa? Thanks in advance!

Hi, my 12 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with inattentive adhd, and we’re starting down the medication gauntlet. Hi, my son is in Concerta 18mg for two weeks now. He is in 9th grade high school. The stimulant makes him focus and do his work in class. The meds wears off around 1pm he said which is ok since PE. is his last class.

He’s been on generic Concerta Methylphenidate 30mg. is his current dosage. My son is very aware that he is different, wants to fit in so bad. He says they treat him like a baby.

This distractibility is greatly worsened by stimulants like caffeine, adderal/concerta. Anyone have advice on distractibility? I am guessing it is a brain chemistry issue since I have employed every productivity technique I can think of.

I tried stratera, vyvance,concerta,& a few more my matabalism burns fast. ER doesn't mean much 4 me. I take Vybrid 4 depression & Visteral 4 anxiety.😔I don't know if there's a better fit 4 me, has any 1 gone through this & found a better fit of med's.ive tried 2 not take any.

I would love to hear some positive stories about how Concerta has helped your child/family/life! Short story - after 2 years of battling ADHD the natural way, we are taking a new path and Concerta has been our Drs recommendation.

In the past I was on Prozac, Concerta, and Xanax which I seemed to do very well on until I was in a work situation which increased my anxiety and my new doctor took me off everything and started me on this new combination.

My son will be 8 in a week; he's been on Concerta since last November, but after increasing his dose from 9mg to 18, then 27, it just wasn't enough - his focus and impulse control were better but his emotional regulation was still severely lacking.

My 16 year is now on 54 mg Concerta for almost more then a month and it is helping him to focus in the school without any side effects. How often do you make an appointment with your child Psychiatrist if everything is going well with out any side effects.

I was taken Ritalin and Concerta back home. Now I need to see a physiatrist for medications. But first need to get insurance. But most of them do not cover ADHD medications or doctor visit. A private doctor without insurance is too expensive.

Before I was on concerta but didn’t work for me so my dr changed it to Vyvanse 30 mg for a month but I told him after it wasn’t as affective so we bumped it up to 40 mg.

So today is day 2 of concerta and we will see what happens but I feel like he’s a bit more hyper can that happen?? He is taking 18mg of concerta .

He has tried modafinil, concerta and caffeine pills all under neuro supervision, none do much, just make his tremor worse. He is trying to work part time, but I'm not sure this is do-able. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea and uses a cpap machine at night.

My daughter is fortunate to be mildly afflicted and is on the lowest dosage of Concerta. AJust last year, we even thought of possibly experimenting with taking her off and see if she was functioning fine. But part of me felt why change it before high school ends.
