Zapping My Way Down On Effexor
Hey all. Started another drop the other day on my way to find an ideal level on the Effexor. I started the drop last fall when I went from 375mg down to 225 but I had to put a halt to it when I tried 150. By that time we were right at the shortest days of the year and my nerves wanted me to get comfortable

Looking for ADHD Treatment Provider in Memphis TN
I am recently diagnosed at 59 years old last August. My GP prescribed Concerta, which worked miraculously for about three weeks and gave me a brief glimpse of how much better life could be, but it has not continued to do the trick even with increase dosages. My GP retired at the end of the December,

Modafinil- share your experiences
Hi! If anyone has info about Modafinil for ADHD- it’s an off-label use, and would like to know if it’s helped. I’m 48, have had little success with vyvanse, Concerta and now Adderall due to side effects. All of these wonderful adhd meds are making me dreadfully tired, tachycardic and adderall is giving

ADHD Meds & Side Effects
My daughter has just started taking Concerta. It’s been maybe 5 days and the DR said to give it two weeks. But… since the first day I’ve noticed she is very irritable. Anything and everything can trigger crying or screaming. She normally does have a short temper but it doesn’t last long and isn’t very

Addisons?
Hi, thoughts please from the wisdom of this forum. My 22 yr old son (adopted) has diagnosed attachment disorder and ADHD. He suffered fainting spells 16/17 and had heart tests and was put on tilting table. Nothing conclusive. Temperature is always low. Had one cv injection, had a bad reaction. Always

Do short acting or longer acting stimulants work better for your school-related focus needs?
Hi! I’ve tried vyvanse and Concerta and have found that I never can reach a focus peak with the longer acting stimulant medication- they don’t seem to prescribe Adderall or Dexyamphetamine often where I live, but since I have a tried to take meds around my best focus times- 4-11pm, I still feel that

Really tough mornings with 8 yr old
Hello, my son has ADHD and is currently on Concerta and Guanfacine which work very well. Before he takes his meds in the morning, he yells, is destructive, swears and goes into mealtdowns over nothing. When that behavior starts, I try to give him prompts that he will lose IPad or play time if the behavior

Should I stop taking my medication?
I was officially diagnosed with ADHD inattentive type two weeks ago, and I started taking 18 milligrams of Concerta every day. It would take 2 hours for me to feel an effect, and as soon as it did I felt like I was brought to life. Not only was I able to finish way before most of my classmates, but I

Is it normal for Concerta to feel like it's doing nothing?
I have recently switched to Concerta, and I feel like I did when I was not medicated. I am usually on a generic brand of methylphenidate, called Teva. That's not available right now, because of supply chain issues, so I am on Concerta instead. It's been a few days, and I can safely say it's not doing

QuilliChew savings card?
Hi all, My son is on QuilliChew, which is basically like Concerta, just a chewable. There is no generic version, and we have a high-deductible health plan, so we're paying nearly $300/month for this. I'm happy to do it, as it helps him, but if I can save money, I will. I was going to ask his psychiatrist

Finally diagnosed, but finding actual treatment feels impossible.
I finally got an official diagnosis in December, adhd PI, which I've pretty much known since middle school. But like a lot of people, I had depression and anxiety blamed for everything, with little to no help from medication and therapy. I was living in Cleveland and got my diagnosis from the cleveland

My son is 14yr old and has ADHD, anxiety, OCD and ODD. He goes to a private school now as 9th grader as he struggled with friends in our public school, was bullied and basically fell in depression with the thought of going back to the public school after being at home during covid for 8th grade. He

Adjusting Meds with Age
Hi Everyone, My nearly 6 year old has been stable on a combination of Concerta 27mg (ADHD), Celexa 20mg (anxiety), Cyproheptadine 4mg (appetite) and Clonidine .1mg (sleep) for 6 months now. Lately, we've noticed an uptick in hyperactivity and a slight decline in appetite. We met with our psychiatrist

Adderall causing anger or sadness?
Hi, our 5 year old son was just diagnosed with ADHD and we are in the process of finding a medication for him that works. Has anyone noticed if Concerta/Adderall brought on more mood swings, anger or low self-esteem? We feel like there was a very noticeable change once we started med[i]s but want to

14 year old son starting Adderall
my 14 year old is starting a low dose of adderall tomorrow, and then gradually working his way up assuming he doesn't have any major side effects. He is coming off 36 concerta, which he has been on since 6th grade. His ADHD has been treated by his pediatrician until yesterday when we had his first
