covid vaccine & prostate cancer
Any concerns/studies re covid vaccines bringing prostate cancer back? No politics just want to know if there are any reasons to be concerned.

Bladder Cancer Update and More. UPDATE.
Back in January I was diagnosed with problems with my spine as below. "x rays shows OA throughout loss lumbar lordosis" I posted at the time being my spine is affected, would that affect me being able to have a spinal (Epidural) when I have a Cystoscopy? I said at the time I would consult my GP and

Fulvestrant side effects and updates
After 4yrs of silence and no medications against my oncologist advice, my breast cancer is back. Atleast I was spared from horrible side effects for those times. My 2023 January Ct scan showed mets again in mu lungs, liver and some other areas. It progressed slowly as I was going through so much financial

Dental Issues with Finesteride
I am 7 years post full gland HIFU surgery. Quality of life remains good. I've been off ADT all this time. PSA has been slowly rising and hit 2.8. My urologist put me on finesteride. It prevents the conversion of T to DHT. Five weeks after starting on it I experienced an onslaught of dental problems.

I started a Zytiga holiday yesterday. Still on Lupron for now. How long should I keep taking prednisone? I know Zytiga clears out pretty fast.

Second Recurrence
I was originally diagnosed in December 2018 with stage 3 high-grade primary peritoneal carcinoma. It recurred in December 2022. I had the same chemo both times: carbo/taxol. It appears that I have another recurrence because my CA 125 was 8 this past November. Then, it rose to 22 in December and today

Flare
Thursday, my husband had his follow-up appointment with Oncologist. I was very alarmed at some of his blood test results. His PSA went up to 1600. Doctor said other blood work was to be expected. I researched surged in PSA and found this, The PSA flare is a well-known phenomenon. The post chemotherapy

Eligard and loss of taste
I have been on Eligard since the end of December 2023 and finished 28 IMRT sessions for my Gleason 9 non-metastatic PC Besides the usual loss of libido, fatigue and hot flushes, I have also experienced a diminished ability to taste. I also have this change in my tongue and mouth with a yukky taste.

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
I’ve been on the PC journey for 12 years. I’ve had lupron and all the standard “poisons” that we get, including Pluvicto. My PSA is now up to 99.5. I have bone mets in my lower back and sacrum w periodic pain that’s controlled w pain meds. My oncologist is recommending a chemo concoction of Docetaxel

Anyone have side effects from omenectomy?
Hi everyone, I’m after some advice. I’ve decided to have a preventative total hysterectomy with salpingo-oopherectomy (one ovary is already gone with my OC tumor - I’m one year NED so far). I also have endometriosis too, so I’m hoping this helps stop that pain too. My procedure, together with a hernia

Ascites coming back,primary peritoneal
Hi everyone. I was hoping I could ask for some information. For a bit of background, I am supporting my Mum (76) who was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer almost two years ago after ascites discovered and drain needed. Initially thought was stage 3c and as it had affected a lymph node it was then

Right phrenic nerve paralysis
Path from RP showed extensive perineural involvement. No other risk factors for phrenic nerve paralysis. Haven't talked to MO yet, but sure concerned it's tumor invasion. PSA still <0.04.

Total thyroidectomy - anyone have a positive story ?
Hey everyone - I’m very nervous about having a total thyroidectomy in mid February. I have seen so many horror stories. Do any of you have an experience that didn’t turn sour ? Some have said they have levithyroxine issues … I’m not sure if this is the right decision but my heart rhythm is being seriously

Prostate cancer treatment and sexual mutilation
Well well. In the midst of the club no one wants to be a part of and just wanted to add my input. It seems that the treatment of prostate cancer often glazes over the fact that you will be sexually impacted severely. Depending on treatment outcome that could be a 0 to 7. Seems like the topic isn’t really

options after Docetaxel
Hi- I have posted before concerning my brother’s prostate treatment. To give a brief overview- my brother was diagnosed in March 2021. He responded well to Abiraterone for 18 months. Once his PSA starting trending upwards he was put on several sessions of Docetaxel. Unfortunately at this time, he
