Different Treatment Advice from Endocrinologist and Rheumatologist
Hello, I'm in my thirties and have osteoporosis. Earlier this year I saw an endocrinologist who advised I start HRT (my hormone levels are fine) and I have just seen a rheumatologist who advised I take alendronate. Neither can advise on the other. I wondered whether people had experience with either

New resource for osteoporosis information
I've posted before about my good results from the OsteoStrong program. Here is another resource that I have found very helpful for information on HRT and osteoporosis supplements. Dr. Doug Lucas also has a YouTube channel. It might be helpful for someone in this community. https://www.optimalbonehealth.com

Adjuvant ADT & duration
When studies refer to adjuvant ADT with radiation are they counting the length of time from the start of RT or the end of the RT course ? And as previously questioned I didn’t quite get the answer I was looking for. In research when they refer to 6, 12, 18, 24 or 36 months of ADT, are they counting

Quite happy with ADT
Almost 83 years old, living presently in Germany, RT and PT not possible, ADT during the last 9 months (Lupron quarterly), PSA down to undetectable, quite happy with that.

Thinking of taking an ADT vacation
Hi, just got my latest PSA result yesterday...it was 0.07 ug/l down from 0.14 ug/l one month ago. I'm almost at the 6 month mark of my ADT journey. Six months ago, my PSA was 14.9 ug/l. I'm thinking of taking a break from the ADT because of the side effects. Is it too risky? Would the PSA start

Chronic over heating and night sweats anyone?
I have various autoimmune conditions but it's the stage two Sjogrens that is of concern. I stopped sweating under my arms some time ago but I were profusely overheating. I brought a few fans to place around my home and changed all bedding to cotton, wool and bamboo. I cant tolerate the heat so have

Irritability on levo dose increase?
Hello all, I'm about 4 weeks in to a dose increase of levo from 100 to 125mcg. I'm familiar with a surge in 'wired and frantic' energy when I've reached about the 3 week point on a new higher dose in the past. And I had that a few days ago. It had settled. However today I've been increasingly irritable

Xtandi gap
Long story short, I'm on ADT & Xtandi and just retired this past summer. While employed I was fortunate enough to have no cost for this drug that my medical insurance was paying $13k/month for. When I retired I had a 3 month supply that'll take me through mid-November. But when I have refill it this

Things I Like About ADT
I know that no one, like NO ONE, actually wants to be on ADT. There are a lot of downsides to it, and complaints about the fatigue, lack of sex drive, etc. are a common theme on this forum. I'm about a year out now from starting on Zoladex shots (a drug that works in the same way as Lupron), and I

Hrt yes or no
Hello....before my iron infusion a random gp suggested I take hrt ????I haven't presented with menopausal symptoms and still have regular cycles . I'm aware SOME women have rls during this transition but I'm also aware HRT is a stimulant and can cause a spike . As we already struggle surely hrt will

Requip and Collagen
I have been taking Requip for several years and started taking Collagen last year as I had come off HRTand my hair and nails were in a terrible condition. I seem to remember seeing that taking both was not advised, is that correct? I have gone back on HRT but it has not made any difference.

drenching sweats
I was made stop my hormone patches 3 months ago. About 3 weeks after stopping I began having all over body drenching sweats, I have to change my clothes and bedding sometimes and they make me very nauseated. These don't happen just at night but during the day as well...I'm nearly 24/7 in a sweat. Has

lactose intolerance and vaginal oestrogen Vagirux?

High Potassium Levels?
I am just curious if anyone has had elevated potassium levels during or after PC treatment? Specifically Radiation and ADT. Hubby has dangerously high potassium levels, he has kidney disease so this is something that is watched. We even log all of our food and the Nephrologist is baffled by it-he doesn
