Hi. Two years ago I went to my doc complaining of tiredness, constantly cold, aching muscles and difficulty losing weight. He did some blood tests and they came back with low vit D. No apparent prob with thyroid but don’t really know what all the results were until I went back the other day And the doctor

Seroquel has stopped IBS and cramping!
My therapist put me on Seroquel for insomnia, (was only getting three hours of sleep last night..for the past two years). Not only has it made me calmer, and happier, it has completely stopped by stomach cramping and IBS. It has been years since I was able to eat anything heavier than child size portion

Hi all! I would like to share my story to see if you could shed some light. I’ll try to be as brief as possible! I’m 38 and I've been suffering from Hashimoto's for 15 years and half of them I was on a wrong medication / not well diagnosed. 2 years ago, I found a good medical herbalist that helped me

Update: ‘so upset after Endo appt’ & started T3
Hi everyone, so I wrote a post a week or two about how upset I was after my NHS Endo appt, where the doc had said she wanted to go back to basics and start blood tests again but promised she was going to test all the other antibodies and do some other tests she didn’t specify. Well I called the hospital

Levothyroxine increased but still fatigued
Following my last post I asked my GP for blood tests as advised. Thankfully he obliged. For some reason only some of the results were returned from the lab, so I had to do the tests in two sittings . I do feel more alert and physical symptoms have improved since the increased dose of Levothyroxine,.

I’m a 56 yr old post menopausal woman who has battled with an under active thyroid since being diagnosed around 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with TSH of 5.1. I have raised TPO antibodies only (33) other thyroid antibody is fine, so that means I have Hashimotos. I was on Levothyroxine for the

Comparison of thyroglobulin and thyroid peroxidase antibodies
Interesting find in the Endocrine Journal, published by Japan’s Endocrine Society. “It has long been believed that TPOAb is superior to TgAb for detection of thyroid autoimmune abnormali- ties [2, 16]. In fact, TPOAb is recommended as the first choice of antibody measurement in the guidelines of the
