Age, cycling (ebikes) and afib.
Interesting article in one of my subscriptions...about how ebikes have made a difference in the lives of cyclists (like me) who are past their *best before date* on 2 wheels lol. One of the guys has afib, so thought I'd share; "The benefits of riding an electric bike also rang true in our chat with

Still only 1 and 1 only AFIB reading since Oct, 2020
Only one finding of afib since October 2020. I bought a Kardia immediately after and check myself about 25 times a week. 73 years old and all is good. Moving forward to November of 2022, my cardio doc believes I should still take the miserable Eliquis twice daily. Eliquis pretty much makes my life a

P -Afib. Doctornow wanting to prescribe lopemide
I've had P-Afib for a few years now well managed with a calcium blocker SR Verapamil. Due to an unrelated condition another specialist has recommended Lopermide 2mg 3×s per day up to 5xs per day. I'm not keen to take it like this long termly as I see irregular heart beat & palpitations is linked to this

Pain Management
Hi All, My husband's pain seems to be out of control. He says he hurts everywhere all the time, but mostly his whole right side, from his shoulder, arm, wrist all the way to his toes. He uses magnesium and heat, a tens machine as well as massage, CBD and acupuncture. But nothing really helps or lasts

Do you have hyperparathyroidism with ckd?
For those with
ckd
and hyperparathyroidism, what is your pth? What are your symptoms and how are you treating it? Mine is in the low 400’s and I’m starting to think some of my physical ailments are caused by this. Thanks!

Fitbit for a fib?
hi all. My husband has had paroxysmal a fib for last 4 years and takes digoxin. We use the Kardia mobile with great success. I’m wondering whether to get him either a Fitbit or more expensive Apple Watch so he can keep an eye on how high his rate goes while out on his daily walk. I don’t think it’s

CBD oil acts on different receptors than Opioids and THC . If you are taking low dose CBD with THC or medical marijuana and you still suffer insomnia add extra pure CBD oil. If you suffer from opioid insomnia add PURE CBD OIL always sublingual it has some many health benefits a great nights sleep

Life after Rituximab? What is the next chapter?
Diagnose with GPA in December 2019 and after the usual cocktail of Steroids Cyclophosphamide and an unsuccessful spell with Azathioprine I now approach my next infusion of Rituximab in a couple of weeks. My Consultant is saying because my ANCA marker is so low this should be my last one. So what happens

nor knowing about it. Yesterday I was handed test results from 3 years ago and my gfr was 37. No one mentioned anything about

Long Term Zoloft/Sertraline, or other SSRI Treatment, might increase Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis and stroke risk
Effects of Long Term Zoloft/Sertraline Treatment and Depression on Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis in Premenopausal Female Primates. This study was done on female monkeys only. Thus, it might be safe to assume that male monkeys would have had similar results. These results could be caused by depression
