Another Diet Question
I've looked through various websites about
CKD
diets, looked at various recipes and the whys and why nots of what you should and shouldn't eat. For those of you who live with other family members, how do you balance your special

diet with their diet.

Esophagus pain after cardioversion
I had a cardioversion for AF a week ago, been in NSR since then. It was my second one this month, previous one was 2 weeks before that. Since this last cardioversion I have had mild-to-moderate esophagus pain and some stomach pain. I can tell the chest pain is esophageal and not heart because its

A quick update
I keep telling them I am dog tired and fed up with this
ckd
but it falls on deaf ears - I don't think it is suitable for me - unless they come up with a miracle cure - they just made me feel even worse.

Hypertension and blood pressure
Hello I have been struggling lately having what I call ‘funny turns’ they are totally random and happen at different times, some weeks none, other weeks 3 or 4 times. My heart starts beating fast, chest pounding and go all hot and dizzy, thinking I am going to collapse if it doesn’t pass. I have bought

What would you expect?
Hi Everyone, Just thought I’d ask here as the help I’ve received on here has been invaluable. Since my Cardioversion in Jan 2022 I have been in a sinus rhythm. I was originally told prior to the Cardioversion that if 6 months after I’m still in a sinus rhythm. I would be able to come off the edoxaban

It's not the adrenals it’s AF!
I kept thinking it was because of my tapering: I was short of breath, felt “chesty” and dizzy. The monitor I wore showed <1% incidence of AF but still at risk for stroke- so Eliquis for me. Scheduled for a visit to the electrophysiology lab for assessment. I believe it’s getting more frequent. Stopped

Hypertension and Amlodipine
Hi, community. I have a (new) diagnosis of hypertension, which means yet another tablet to add to my cocktail. The proposed first line treatment, apparently, is Amlodipine. However, I am wary of this drug, in case it worsens my Erythromelalgia, which is pretty bad anyway, and getting worse all by

Loop recorder (and other feedback)
So, a few weeks ago I passed out while sitting next to my wife - which made her panic. Short version of the story is that the episode was followed by influenza so may have been the beginning of that. Also an ECG I had shortly after passing out was normal. (FYI I am 49 and healthy). But she insisted

PAF - move to PiP only
Hi Can anyone tell me of their experiences of moving from daily medication (Flecainide) to PiP only? Heart attack in 2019, out of the blue - fit & healthy. Investigations - no real culprit - eventually a few months later, after symptoms & further investigations, diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib. Basically

I would like to know if i can take Benadryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) for sleep if i have

stage 3B? The research on this is very confusing. Some sites say it's OK; others say it's bad. Any other suggestions for sleep aids?

What is Left Atrial Rhythm and is it related to Afib?
I have paroxysmal Afib, which appears to be well managed with Flecainide and Metoprolol. I am having an unrelated medical procedure next week so my anaesthetist sent me for an ECG, which I had to drop back to her office. After getting the ECG done by a nurse at my local GP's rooms, the nurse took the

The PSP & CBD Ice Cream Challenge 2023 Holdout
The PSP & CBD Ice Cream Challenge 2023 Holdout Okay admit it. How many of us have found ourselves in front of the refrigerator/freezer after we've gone to bed? Those midnight or later stomach grumblings won't let you sleep until they're satisfied. As so often depicted on TV commercials and television

To ablate or not to ablate?
I have paroxysmal AF, diagnosed in early 2020, on 5 mg bisoprolol and Edoxaban. I am highly symptomatic when I have an event, with fast heart rate, strong palpitations, heart feeling as though it will escape from my chest, but no dizziness etc. and this can last for up to 12 hours before it reverts

Further evidence that even moderate exercise is good for your long term health - particularly when you have CLL!
I've often observed that our immediate response when we are diagnosed with CLL, is to re-evaluate our diet (good) and look at how we can extend our time before treatment and improve our life expectancy by taking supplements, for which there limited evidence, particularly when it comes to hopes of boosting
