Final stages of CBD
Hi all My dad is in the final stages of CBD and in fact the Palliative Care Consultant seems to think we have less than 3 months left with him. I am really really struggling with this and can't bear the thought of not having my dad but this illness is the cruellest illness I have ever encountered.

ANCA question
I think my GP is suspecting I have vasculitis or lupus. I wrote a really long message but thought I'd keep it succinct.
My question is, do the labs in the UK only screen for MPO & PR3 if the ANCA test was positive?
Thanks

CKD stage 5 fyi water warning
This week I received one of the new medical newsletters on what is not recommended for renal patients. It said for stage 5 renal patients to avoid drinking excess water, as it is damaging to the cardiovascular system. I mention this because so many of you say drink water, water water! If you are stage

What is a normal CRP level?
After a recent flare of PMR I have been put on 5mg pred. My blood tests last week showed CRP levels of 4, so to refresh my memory I looked up "normal" levels of CRP. One website showed 4 as being normal, another one said that 4 indicated a "moderate" danger of heart disease So here I am back on this

Im so fed up with the constant SVTs and PACs
Hi everyone... Had successful ablation for AFib and AF in 2016. Ok until last August when all these weird arrythmias suddenly started happening. I assumed it was AFibbut it was different, getting a week to 2 weeks of almost constant palpitations 24/7. Been to A&E 3 times, they weren't bothered. Been

Onco like to start the chemo but like to try platinum free drug due to her
CKD
situation. He will try Irinotecan. I read about it and seems it is used in instances of peritoneal metastasis of colorectal cancer. Any feedback on this will be helpful..thanks a ton.

Help needed with AF medication homework please!
I have an appointment at short notice with my EP on Thursday. This is following the cardioversion that gave me NSR for a week before returning to persistent Afib with resting heart rate in the 90s. I am currently on Adoxaban, and propranolol at night. I'm hoping to have a conversation about potential

Flecainide: Worse AFib attack ever after being prescribed at a+e admission
Hi all hope everyone is well. Wish I was. Two days ago I was diagnosed with angina in ACU and prescribed yet more medication. The angina I now have is distinct from AFib type of angina pain which I am familiar with ie: I only experience it when I'm in afib. So A fib free, in NSR i have angina pain quite

Food Delivery Services
My mom was recently diagnosed with Stage 4
CKD
. We are changing her diet to ensure she eats properly to help her kidneys function. She lives alone and doesn't really like cooking for herself. I would like to find a Food delivery service that specializes in the Renal diet.

*update* Sensitive: HCG plateaued and clinic not offering any help

Exposure to environmental contaminants and how it relates to increase in Parkinson's disease...
I know that PSP, MSA, and CBD and Parkinsons are not one and the same but this headline caught my eye about the most recent studies involving what effect chemical solvents so many of us are exposed to day to day may have on our brains. My husband, a photographer, farmer, carpenter and sometimes painter
