Strophantus D4 heart arrhythmia
I have already asked recently about heart arrhythmia since Pred. And it seems many people have that problem. I have been taking Strophantus D4 tablets for a few weeks and have had no more heart attacks at night. Sometimes I still have little heart palpitations. I hope it lasts đ€đ»

Kidney Cyst Pain
I was informed in January 2023 that I have Stage 4
CKD
(GFR of 28) - unfortunately I had NEVER been told that I'd been in Stage 3a an 3b
CKD
for the previous 10 years! After a ultrasound and MRI I was informed I have a 3.5 cm cyst IN my right kidney (= the cyst is taking up 33% of that kidney).

Sweetened drinks linked to atrial fibrillation risk
Many, many years ago, I used to occasionally have a gin and tonic or angostura and tonic (if driving). And became convinced that, if the tonic contained saccharin, I would likely end up having a relatively high heart rate. But this was long before I had any idea about afib. As I hate the taste of saccharin

Unfortunately Heart Rate shot up to a very dangerous level and was ambulances to Hospital where I was monitored overnight and at no time did BP RISE and two ECG showed normal rhythm. Heart Rhythm queryâŠ
Please can anyone explain ? My Kardia can show a result of Afib or SVEs even when my heart rhythm appears to be constant. It can show heart rhythm of say 61 throughout a 30 second trace, without fluctuation, yet reveal I have an irregular heart rate. As we are often told to check our pulse and if itâ

Advice Please
Please accept apologies if this is not the correct support group - just concerned as having Atrial Fibrillation from first thing in morning until I go to sleep. Not sure if this is related but pulse low at 40 and stays at that with occasional increase to 51. Have thyroid problems and advised to reduce

Is musculosketetal condition associated with PMR
I have not written on the form for a while but would like your thoughts on the following: On Sunday night and all day Monday I had chest pain especially when breathing in, and both shoulders and upper back were sore. It was still very painful on Tuesday so I phoned GP and was told as it was chest pains

Do you Know Your Pulse?
Do you know what a normal resting heart rhythm is? Do you know what an irregular heart rhythm feels like? Did you know that an irregular pulse can be the very early warning signs of an arrhythmia? It is vital you monitor your heart rhythm by taking regular pulse checks. For further information

GCA, Afib, heart failure
I was concerned my Afib following a TIA Aug 23 wasnât controlled. GP requested bloods for BNP plus CRP/ ESR which hadnât been done since March. I have had bouts of fatigue which have up to now been linked to adrenals following a Syncathen test. The CRP came back as 15, ESR 14. Rheumatology helpline suggested

Is vitamin K2 ok with edoxaban?
I'm in the UK I'll keep it brief but I take edoxaban and bisoprolol for afib. I'm aware that historically Warfarin has a question mark over vitamin K1 for various reasons Some people seem to monitor using inr testing but my question is that more modern anti coagulants use a different mechanism of action

"When to Hold, When to Fold"...or "a Bird in the Hand..."
Since first experiencing Afib 4 years ago, I have been advised off and on to consider ablation. Many people seem to think that ablation cured or reduced their Afib, while others have reported disappointing ineffectiveness and complications. It is difficult to pin down statistical assessments because

Measuring force of heart beats?
Hi. I'm Amelia. New here. Age 63. Paroxysmal AFib since at least 2015. Dx in 2018. Rx Metoprolol. Question: is there any way of measuring the force of your irregular heartbeats? Just wondering if that could explain the difference between people who don't feel their Afib and people that feel all of it

Is coping with arrhythmia... "strong" or "weak"?
I posted the following in a different thread, edited a little for this post to make more sense. I felt some might not have read it there and might be interested in replying. I wonder what others' views are on "being strong" when faced with illness, well - arrhythmias in our case (for some daily, maybe

Symptoms after cardioversion
It's nearly two weeks since I had a successful cardioversion after being in permanent AF following an ablation ten weeks ago. I'm on 5m bisprolol and 200mg amiodarone daily. I'm feeling much better for being in NSR and able to do a lot more (I was very symptomatic in AF). I do still get slightly breathless

Result of CT angiogram
Heard back from the rapid access chest pain clinic and they confirmed I have a mild to moderate blockage of my coronary arteries. They requested my doctor prescribe amlopidine and aspirin - so more medication! I'm not sure about the aspirin as I've had a stomach ulcer in the past and also bleed very
