Nosebleeds and thyroid / blood test query / going private
Hi there :) You were all so helpful when I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism last year, and I was hoping I could trouble you all with another question. - My levothyroxine was raised to 75mg a day in February based on my NHS blood test (TSH 5.91 mU/L, free T4 15.8pmol/L). - Not really sure if

My husband, almost 72, just had blood work with everything good except cholesterol (little high 227) and high TSH 7.93, slightly low T4. He has no symptoms of hypothyroidism! Since he has no symptoms, we're waiting 3 months to retest and T3 also, and he works 45 hours a week loading and unloading yard

Help with recent blood tests please
Hi all, Further to previous posts… Endo finally prescribed T3 5ug and had advised reducing T4 from 100 ug to 75 ug which I was reluctant to do as I felt so awful after reducing from 125ug on 12/01/24. Previous bloods taken on 22/02/24 while on 100ug T4 for previous 6 weeks : T4 19.5 ( 12-22 range)

answers please swollen breasts
hi. I have struggled with regular period and had abit of Gynae difficulty, this year my periods have become more regular only a day or two out. Because of this though I have to allow a few days for periods to come so never know EXACTLY WHEN. My last period was only 2 days which is very unusual for me

Private Test Results
Hi I've just got my private test results and would like to know if these are ok. The test was only a cheap one so don't have any vitamin results. I have been taking T3 1 x 20mg for 2 weeks now and although my GP said I should have a test after 6 weeks, I decided to do a private test. The main reason

T3 too high?
Hi all, Last time I had my thyroid levels checked I followed the protocol of taking half my Armour dose the night before my tests. The blood test was done at 9am and all was in range. This time my endocrinologist specifically asked me to have my blood tests two hours after taking my normal Amour dose

TSH remains suppressed
So, been taking 125mcg levo and 12.5mcg Liothyronine for years, but recently lost some weight, and started randomly throwing up. Blood tests at Dr showed,T4 19.9 (11-23) TSH <0.01 (0.27-4.5) So wanting to feel better, I reduced the t3 to 6.25mcg, and levo to 100mcg Nurse practitioner agreed to check

Adrenal/Cortisol issues- help please
So it's recently been bought to my attention that my struggles to tolerate any t4 t3 medication could be down to low cortisol or adrenal issues, is this common? I'm starting to question if adrenal issues are actually my main problem? I was diagnosed 'subclinical hypo' last year and have been on varying

results from Blue Horizon
please find attached my recent blood results from blue horizon. They have commented that my TSH is too low and I should consider reducing my NDT. As I feel well atm I would be grateful for some opinions on this as my Free T3 though high in range isn’t over. My Ferritin is always high but my GP seems

Hello, I wondered if anyone had ever had similar blood tests and what was the outcome. Background, I come from a family of dysfunctional thyroids and mine is definitely on the way out. Over the years my thyroid test have swung between subclinical hypo and normal, usually with a TSH around between

12dp6dt and BFN, is this over?
I'm 12dp6dt today. I had almost no symptoms up to this morning when I woke up to cramps like my usual periods. The blood on the pad/bowl looks like the kind of bleeding I get on Day 1 of period. Took a home pregnancy test and there wasn't even a faint line. From your experience, does this sound like

test interpretation help please
help with test result interpretation please. retest using monitor my health as I though NHS test might have been affected by taking a multi vit (which I stopped a week before this test). Was overactive and gradually put on 75 levothyroxine. Should I be reducing this amount as now over active? My TPOs

T4/T3 conversion
Can anyone recommend a good supplement for T4/T3 conversion please? My T3 blood tests (Medicheck) have been in the 3's since Covid - apart from a brief period when I hit the dizzy heights of 4.4 - but I've always been 'within range' so no chance of getting T3! I am currently waiting for an MRI (10

Testing when on single dose T3, anyone tested to see peak?
My recent blood tests I decided it would be interesting to see what my level of fT3 would be on a normal day, so I took my usual early am dose of 15mcg and tested 5 hours later (9am) So 8.23 (3.1 - 6.8)
