What to do?
I know that continuing with chemo is a personal thing, and that it has to be my decision, but I have no one else, who understands, to discuss this with.I had my first chemo, Carbo/Taxel in 2016,, and since then have had Avastin, Carbo/Caelyx, Rucaparib and weekly Taxel, which I finished just before Christmas

Former art teacher with a passion for travel
Former art teacher. I started traveling in my fifties and it became my passion (I’ve visited 41 countries so far!) until Covid and then my stage 4 diagnosis came. Diagnosed with IDC stage 3 in 2015. My great-grandmother had breast cancer in the 1920s, and an aunt had it when she was in her mid-eighties

Hi all I’ve not been here for nearly 3 months time has disappeared recently. Last time here was the night before my surgery.
Surgery was ok ( In hindsight ! ). total hysterectomy bilateral salpingoophrectomy .., they took my appendix and also omentum. Histology came back as Stage 1c2 mucinous adenocarcinoma . Was suspected ( as most mucinous are ) that it was a secondary tumour from GI origin ( stomach / bowel) I’ve had

Niraparib and eyelashes
Hi, I am wondering if anyone else has noticed that their eyelashes are only little stumps of lashes? My eyelashes grew back lovely and long after I finished my Chemo in June 2022. I have been on Niraparib since July but noticed this last few weeks my eyelashes have gotten shorter. Is this a side

Chemo round 2 - fingernail beds feel bruised
This isn’t how I pictured neuropathy feeling, that would be numbness or pins and needles, correct? Yesterday I noticed pressing on my fingernail caused a bruising feeling. Today some of the fingernail beds just ache a little, and feel bruised when touched. It’s obviously from chemo, is there a name

Experiences of Clatterbridge cancer center, Wirral
I am particularly interested in the facilities and concomitant support available at Clatterbridge from the perspective of whether they have an acute medical unit to help deal with any issues that come up,
chemotherapy
and how surgical referrals are dealt with.

Olaparib and hair dye
Hi ladies, I hope you'll forgive a slightly frivolous question but I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on using hair dyes/highlights etc while on olaparib? I'm hoping to get my hair highlighted next time I go to the hairdresser as my hair has grown back much darker after finishing chemo in

Has anyone had a bad reaction to Oramorph?
Reading the thread about using opioids for RLS, I wonder if anyone has tried Oramorph? As I have stage 4 cancer, when I had some bad pain I was prescribed this liquid medicine but found that it made my RLS ten times worse. It stopped the pain a treat and I only took 2.5 mls ( a tiny amount) but my legs
