Glibobastoma
I was April completely healthy or so I thought. After complaining of headaches which doctors said most likely cluster headaches.. I didn't think much more of it Roll on August I received diagnosis. Stage 4 glibobastoma. This very quickly turned into major brain surgery which left me partially paralysed

Abdominal distension
I was diagnosed with HGSO grade 3 in 2021. Had 4 rounds carbo/plaxi/avastin, followed by debulking. Completed further 2 rounds of chemo. Cancer recurred within 6 months. So I was denied further surgery. I am BRACA-1. Avastin and PARP wasn't effective. Completed carbo/gem in July and subsequent PET scan

Hey guys. Glad to find this group. 81 years old- Diagnosed 7 years ago with a Gleason 9 The Onc's finally scared me into having a radical but I refused to let them take my nerves. They told me I would be gone in 5 yrs. In retrospect wish I hadn't had the radical. Info and options were very hard to come

Choice of CLL Treatment
HI all, I’m 53 and after 5 years I’m nearing the end of W&W and my oncologist is suggesting I start treatment due to expanding nodes in my neck. He’s offered two types of treatment, (1) Ventickax & Obinutuzumb, which as I understand is basically chemo plus drugs for a year that will hopefully put the

History Question for Tall Allen or others.
I am interested in what happened to the Eclipse Clinical Trial of a few years back? I find several old calls for patients to sign up. They say it is set up as a Lu177-PSMA-I&T vs. Lupron (ADT) Trial. Sounds like good science to me but a Political Mine Field to get US FDA approval. I am surprised they

Radiation
I had the standard IMRT for my pca back in 2013. I was told it was a lifetime dose. Is that true with the newer forms of radiation treatment? I am faced with starting a six dose regimen of taxotere now since ADT does not seem to be working according to PSMA scans. My psa remains at 1.8 even though the

Update
My husband David is receiving
chemotherapy
(Vidaza) to improve his blood counts. His MDS is a serious stage, described to us as "refractory anemia with excess blasts 1." His blood counts are all extremely low with an ominous increase in "monocytes."

Ringing ears and plugged feeling
After
chemotherapy
and 3 Pluvicto injections I am experiencing ear problems. They are clean but they feel like they are water filled. Could be age and hearing loss time but feel something else is going on. Any of you out there having similar problems?

CTC MEANING
I entered the SPLASH trial in Spet 2022 and had my first treatment in Dec 2022. I had mets from PSMA scan aZhang at Moffitt. He thought I had responded rather well to the treaments and suggested I shoudl get a CTC (curculating tumor) test and as long as that was under 5 perhaps Provenge treatment. The

Needing to hear some encouraging stories about stage 4 inoperable OC
Hello, everyone, This is my first post here although I’ve been reading everyone’s experiences for a few months. I have HG epithelial serous carcinoma OC stage IVa and had pleural effusion in the lungs and ascites which have both been drained and haven’t so far returned. I was diagnosed in January and

Ok so up front: Gleason 10. Matters? Dunno..castrate resistant now as aberaterone failed. Been battling this since 2020. I was PSA .12 this time last year, started going up at Nov 3-month just, and up since, which was apparent failure point for aberaterone. I had cancer jump into hip, hip muscle,

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I don’t see Dr Dorff until next week, but had labs drawn today. I’m prepping any questions I might have for the appointment. My PSA has more than doubled in 3 months from 0.014 to 0.039. Testosterone at time of both tests was <7. At these low levels, is that doubling in 3 months a concern? I’m

Smartwatch ecg
I was diagnosed with mild LVSD after
chemotherapy
treatment and have been on bisoprolol and ramipril for a few years. I've recently discovered my watch can do ecg's , but my results do not look like my husbands and all the other 'normal' ecgs online. They have large waves.

Update: Carbo/Etoposide for Dad’s Liver Mets
My dad has his 6th round of Carbo/Etoposide next week. The last 2 rounds have been very difficult on my dad. We thought he was lucky in the beginning as the side effects were manageable and attributed it to my dad being young and previously very active. It’s definitely true that chemo is cumulative.
