Chest Pains following ablation
Just after some advice - again from all my virtual friends. I’m 3 weeks tomorrow following 3rd ablation. Don’t know if you recall my complications of asthma, swollen throat and then food & meds getting stuck and fluids going into lungs making me choke! Well that’s all ok now but, blood pressure rose

Heart issues with GCA
I had my 3rd trip to ER last night. My second vertigo attack in 3 weeks. I suspect the antibiotics I have been given for adenoid infection. Had a CT scan of brain. No issues there. CT scan of chest showed mild dilation of ascending aorta and cardiomegaly, along with fluid around heart. BNP,

Ectopic Beats and Afib recurrence
Hi All, I am now more than 6 months out of the ablation and the 3 months follow up was okay. I am on bisoprolol. Lately, I started feeling many ectopics and as of last 3-4 days they seem to be with me all the time. Two weeks ago, I went to an ER following a sleepless night of anxiety (ECG no Afib and

I’ve had permanent AF for a year. On 1.5mg Bisoprolol , 10mg Amlodipine, 20mg Rivaroxiban. 20mgAtorvastatin l. My resting heart rate stays between 70 and 100 and 120 walking measured on Iwatch and BP machine. I would like to help keep my heart rate low and wondered what is the best food

The monster has struck!
Good news this morning -I was told that I might be discharged tomorrow. All my monitors were removed in the morning including the temporary pacemaker and ECG. I went for a couple of walks on the ward which went quite well. I checked my pulse rate manually afterwards and all was steady at about 70bpm

should I consider exercising again?
I went into Af over 18 months ago and had a successful cardioversion in September 2021. Since then (touch wood and 18 months on) I haven’t had a single AF episode. I have had eptopics, palpitations since then but doctor thinks that’s anxiety for which I’m on medication for. I am not on any meds for

CBD oil stopped working!
A couple of years ago, I highly recommended
CBD
oil for RLS. I was one of the first to suggest this solution. Then one night after taking my usual
CBD
OIL, I got severe RLS, I’m shocked and upset that the one thing that helped my RLS just quit helping. This week I’ve had RLS all night.

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an echocardiogram after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this. Can anyone

A Huge Thanks!
A big thanks to everyone for all the replies-they were greatly appreciated. I had the bypass operation yesterday . My throat is as dry as sandpaper (from the tube)so I cannot speak to relatives on the phone. Had a Quadruple bypass not a Triple! They said there were no special problems with the procedure

Dyspnoea..
I have COPD and used to have massive flare ups. regular. I still get them but only winter. I get breathless easy. say walk to kitchen and back from lounge. I often have Dyspnoea - now on my medical records. Dyspnoea is like air hunger. I have heart problems that could cause Dyspnoea - I suppose

Failed Back Surgery
In 2017 I had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis in L3/4/5. The operation was successful and for 3/4 months I was completely pain free for the first time in years! In 2018 I had a bad fall and this resulted in having a Rotator Cuff Repair which was successful but by now my spinal pain was back

Angiogram vs Angioplasty
I have had 6 stents and triple bypass. Each time I had a stent put in, they started out as angiogram and became angioplasty, each time they went in they put in a stent if needed, except that one time when I needed bypass. Now my Cardiologist wants to do an angiogram, then discuss his findings with me

Not great news today
The end of October I had a cardioversion that failed in less than a month. I met with my cardiologist two weeks ago and he confirmed what I thought that it failed. Actually I have atypical flutter it’s not my a fib as such. He wanted me to meet with the EP he works with so today was the day to do that

Afib breathlessness
Firstly, sorry, I don`t know how to add to an old post so started this. To try and keep it short I had a cardioversion for Afib which worked for a few weeks. I was later put on bisoprolol which I really struggled to walk any distance and upstairs (Asthmatic). Many kind people on here gave me good

AF Initial symptoms but tests unhelpful
hi everyone, I’m new to the group and feeling like I’m going mad so any advice greatly appreciated. I have felt racing heartbeat, momentarily, for a few weeks now, intermittent and slight. Also breathlessness and clicking sound in my upper chest intermittently. My first choice gp suspected Paroxysmal
