Short episode five months after ablation.
Do hope everyone is having a good day and has been able to enjoy this beautiful weather. I have PAF and had my first ablation 5 months ago. All was fine through recovery, some discomfort, some ectopics and loads of tiredness. Two and a half weeks ago the report was good in my post ablation consultation

Guanfacine and N-acetylcysteine (NAC-600 mg)
I recently posted a link to an article that talked about treating brain fog with a combination of Guanfacine, a prescription drug used for treating high blood pressure, and N-acetylcysteine (NAC-600 mg), which I gather is an over-the-counter supplement. Has anyone here had any experience with either

Flecainide stopped working
I have been on Flecainide for years & my AF well controlled. Now it has started to cause other arrhythmias so I have to stop it This happened a few years ago & as soon as it was stopped my AF occurred regularly & made me feel very unwell I was able then to restart it but this time it’s not possible

My children, concerned that I am getting the best help for my PMR, have talked about trying
CBD
or cannabis-based products. I have an appt with my GP and will ask his opinion, but would like to know if any other sufferers have tried this alternative therapy.

Microdosing is working for me!
Just wondering if anyone else has had any long term success taking tiny doses of D-9 THC with
CBD
? And, has anyone been able to manage their RLS symptoms with only taking THC/
CBD
?

Cardioversion - preparation and aftercare - advice please!
Hi everyone, and hope a day of sunshine has raised spirits!I've been placed on a waiting list for cardioversion by my EP which I'm really happy about. I was diagnosed with AF last September or October (got a cat on my knee so can't get up to check the date!) and this rapidly progressed to persistent.

Peginterferon side effects!
Hi all, I have ET Jak2+ since 2021 and have been injecting 45mg Peginterferon weekly for 6 months and doing relatively ok until just recently. I now am experiencing severe aching arms and legs radiating down from my neck to my knees. It is so bad that I have to take pain killers daily. My blood pressure

stroke
morning, My husband and i both have AF he has had it for about 7 years been on bisoprolol, rivaroxaban and atvorstatin for that time. On Saturday he had a stroke. I’m not really asking a question but its been such a shock, we don’t know why yet. He’s ok physically but cognitive skills are not good.

Flax Seeds and A-fib
Hi everyone, I was thinking of introducing milled flax seeds in to my diet as a health thing after watching a programme on them. However, after doing a Google search I am finding that certain sites are pointing towards it not being a good thing when on Anticoagulants. I’m on Apixiban,Bisoprolol and digoxin

exercise anxiety
I used to be a kean, regular runner and back in July 2020 I went running in extreme heat and didn’t feel as energised as normal and felt very lethargic and my heart rate showed readings of up to 208bpm and quite erratic. Again I just put this down to exhaustion. Anyway cutting a long story short, I felt

Do you have persistent or long-standing AF?
We are currently recruiting a small number of volunteers to form a panel to discuss your personal experiences of living with the condition. You must be aged 70+, live in the UK, and have received a confirmed diagnosis of persistent or long-standing AF. You may also be taking medications, have previously

Finally captured AF - any athletes out there managing somehow?
This is what happened at the Brighton marathon. All went a bit Pete Tong and ended up in hospital with atrial fibrillation. I have had a couple of previous episodes over the last couple of years but uncaptured by an ECG. One of them, like this I suspect, triggered by being too cold, which I was at

Bioflex PMBT Device
Does anyone have any information or experience with the photobiomodulation (light delivered via low level laser) therapy device sold by the Bioflex Company located in Toronto, CA? Their claim is it energizes mitochondria, lowers inflammation, and promotes healing. Thanks - John G

Angiogram and Right Cath.
I was in hospital last week for tests to see if I could have a Triclip procedure or open heart as I have severe triscuspid regurgitation. My cardiologist had referred me for these tests and said once they were done, the team of dr’s would discuss the results and give an opinion. I had an angiogram,

Exercise suggestions/plans/videos for Afib
It’s been awhile since I posted, although I do check the forum every day, so I have been following all the usual suspects and new arrivals. I was diagnosed at 65 in 2020 with PAF and really struggled to come to terms with my diagnosis as it was mid pandemic and also my mother had the same condition
