One month post AV node ablation
It is almost a month since my AV node ablation and the swelling and shortness of breath have subsided. My pacemaker is currently set to rate response with a range of 80-130. I recently started riding my bike again taking it slow for now until I build my stamina back up. I am feeling much better and except

Ectopics or something more?
Hi all, I've suffered with ectopics for a long time and 2 years ago I had a cardiac ablation which has really helped but only quite recently I've been feeling a strange sensation where I am aware of my heart beat for a matter of seconds, it feels different and for like 3/4 beats it goes fast. It just

Pace and Ablate - Symptoms of Heart Failure after pacemaker and AV node ablation

I had to wait for the AVN ablation since I am sensitive to silicone and the pacemaker parts are coated with it. I haven't had any rejection symptoms therefore my AV

Amiodarone
My EP is suggesting that I try amiodarone. My history is of 3 ablations, 2016, 2018, 2020. Last one finally touched up the scars that had “failed” - so the afib seems to be gone. But they couldn’t trigger my tachycardia during the ablation. And annoyingly, the tachycardia is much more frequent (daily

My daughter aged 23 had an ablation yesterday but they were unable to trigger the episodes. Has anyone else experienced this as she is feeling so fed up that they could do it .

Third ablation
Three weeks after the end of my three month blanking period now for my third
catheter
ablation
and not one problem until today and then that feeling of being “slightly off” and then the dreaded 5 second fast heart followed four hours later by what felt like a big ectopic.

Positive News
It has been agreed that I will have to have surgical not
catheter
ablation
due to my occluder device. However, because I have been PAF free since March, this has all gone on hold & they have discharged me back to the local hospital for now.
