Third ablation

Three weeks after the end of my three month blanking period now for my third catheter ablation and not one problem until today and then that feeling of being “slightly off” and then the dreaded 5 second fast heart followed four hours later by what felt like a big ectopic. Left a message with Arrythmia nurse to call me back and discuss. Hopefully just a blip but we will see.

Please don’t get the eebeejeebees!

As we keep saying, the so called blanking period is a guide and not set in stone. Regardless of how many ablations anyone has, it can take 6 months and more for scar tissue to heal and for the heart to recover from its ordeal. This is why the majority of 1st reviews are 6 months or more after the procedure. Although it’s fully understandable if folk get fractious as soon as they get a hiccup, anxiety levels go through the roof and the situation considerably worsens……that said, we’ve all been there!
