Post Catheter Ablation
I'm 72, fit, considered generally healthy, although I had an ablation 7 days ago. It went 'smoothly' according to the electrophysiologist. This treatment came as a choice after 2 years of Paroxysmal AF episodes. My symptoms were very pronounced. The 'pill in the pocket' didn't really help me. However

Pace and Ablate update
It has now been seven months since I had my AV node ablation following having a pacemaker fitted in March and I thought I would just let you know how things are now. Hopefully this will also help those of you who may have to have the Pace and Ablate procedure next year. Whilst it has taken all of this

Has anyone experienced tachycardia in the months after an SVT RF cardiac ablation? If so, how long till it subsided? Or what meds were you taking?

AF back again post ablation !
I’m now 3 months post
catheter
ablation
! I had a routine echocardiogram done in March 2022 with positive news a couple week later in April, my heart is back in its normal state of health from the images, possibly meaning the mild cardiomyopathy was actually myocarditis?

Dr Wolf and the Maze procedure
No info was given as to whether the patients had previously had any other type of
catheter
ablation
. So this was all Dr Wolf sent me and, obviously, it does not refer to his self-named procedure only (or even at all).

Just a small note this Friday afternoon to thank all of the responders on here for their kind support. Had my ablation on Wednesday, general anaesthetic due to having a TOE. My EP noted aberrant impulses from the pulmonary veins so they were dealt with. Overnight stay and now home for rest. My

PVC's - when to seek further medical advice?
Hi everyone, After several years of symptomatic and worsening Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation and Premature Atrial Contractions, I had a cardiac ablation in January 2021 that was very, very succesful - I would heartily recommend an ablation (sorry for that pun!). I have had the odd, rare episode

Edoxaban versus Rivaroxaban
I have happily taken Rivaroxaban, without any problems, for many years and out of the blue my surgery wants me to change to Edoxaban claiming it’s NHS recommendation. Does anyone know anything about this. I’m not familiar with Edoxaban and wondered if it works in a different way, if side effects are

numbness, bruising and tingeling in leg after cardiac ablation
I had a cardiac ablation 9 days ago. After a week after the operation and extensive bruising I felt a sensation like a tight elastic aged band around my knee then sharp pain in my leg where numbness developed. I understand it happened because the nerve might had been pressed by the enlarged vein and
