Catheter ablation placement in femoral vein

Has anyone had pain or nerve injury from the catheter being placed in the femoral vein? I was told they will put 2 to 3 catheters in the right femoral vein? No where else.

I have a neurological condition of nerve disorder that is near that area.

Thanks

you would need to ask your physician about that.

I think my pelvic pain is related to my ablation.

Flag the issue with your consultant as that will need to be taken into consideration.2 weeks on from my ablation and absolutely no problems for me. Moninal side effects at all luckily so far.

your doctor is the one you need to speak with and he should already be aware of your previous issue. They don’t always get the correct information or all of the information with your records never assume anything. I don’t know what kind of cat are having done. I have had a couple through my wrist. They should have options but again your doctor. He’s the one that is either doing the procedure or know what is going on. They keep improving on catheterizations my first one was through the groin area they used pressure and sandbags and kept you flat for a long time. A couple following that and they used a new product acts like a plug. The only problem I had with that was in recovery when I had a couple of nurses and a Doctor Who did not know that had been used kept trying to flatten because they thought I had a hematoma. See what I mean about don’t assume. I thought it was a great thing compared to the original way. And never had issues. I don’t know where you are in the US for the most part. I think we are pretty lucky with what we have for MEDICAL especially when it comes to an EP and or Cardiologist. Best of luck don’t put off talking to them.
