hello all, I’m new here, I’ve had AF since 2012, started having syncope episodes couple years ago so had loop recorder fitted. Had catheter ablation in March then few weeks later started having episodes where I am conscious but can’t respond to people for a few minutes, have a feeling across chest before they happen. I’ve now had over 40 of these. Had internal heart scan couple weeks ago which showed a large pfo which needs closing. I have also started waking in night and just the area over my heart (just underneath breasts) is soaking with sweat. There is no sweat anywhere else on body, just over where heart is. Have mentioned this to gp and cardiologist and they say they’ve not heard of it before. Does it happen to anyone on here?
Thank you for taking the time to read this

I've had palpitations for at least15 yrs but then 5 years ago they started to increase in numbers per min and intensity. Then in the last 3 yrs I suffered 2 severe "episodes" when I went through syncope almost completely such that I had to quickly drop to the floor to prevent fainting. The heavy duty sweating then began but for me it was an all over the body legs & arms especially. I also experienced severe pain in my arms & legs as if there were tournequets on them. I found it difficult to move them & my vision started to fade. All this lasted 20 min. Cardiac doc put me on peridopril & metoprolol which reduced the strong palpitations dramatically & it's been a year since the last sweat bath episode. Unfortunately the meds can affect the kidneys so I recently had a blood, urine test to check that out. I sure hope I can continue the 2 meds!
