Blood clot in heart - anyone else ?
I went on warfarin and in May had a TOE which revealed the clot had gone then a
cardioversion
which only lasted 3 days. I ended up having 6 months off work due to the clot the warfarin and the schedule of the hospital. I am slowly going back to work now and want to put this behind me.

Back in afib
Planning going forward is to have a
cardioversion
mid-June and my second ablation in late August. He feels someone as young as 45 should definitely attempt another ablation and we will see how it goes from there. He is hoping a small gap has opened up in the scarring, which seems quite common.

Cost of private prescriptions
Waiting for a
cardioversion
in July and my consultant does not want to change my drugs again before the procedure. I was only diagnosed at the start of May and am finding all the information very confusing. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Going in for cardioversion after having an ablation 2 weeks ago.
Doctor is now in the process of scheduling another
cardioversion
next week to get me back on track. The nurse told me it could have been anything that triggered it. She said one of their patients told her dark chocolate does it for him. So frustrating!

Post Ablation and Change of Medication
They suggested an ablation as it was my 4th
Cardioversion
to which I agreed , however during the 2 month wait I experienced three PAF episodes which all cleared after 2 x 100mg Flecainide!

Cardioversion 1st timer
Well I had my
cardioversion
on Thursday and it worked 1st time to say I'm pleased is an understatement. I would definitely go with what Paul said it's not worth worrying about I know that's easier said than done but it really was simple.

Do I ablate?
I had
cardioversion
in April but it did not work -- came too late. I have controlled, treated persistent AF, with an average of 80bpm on the medication.

Cardioversion success
I have returned to the UK for my
cardioversion
today. It worked and I am back in normal rhythm. Chuffed to bits. I`m realistic and know it won`t last forever but will think positive. For anyone who is having their first
cardioversion
and worried about it - DON`T BE. There is nothing to it.

Post Cardioversion
Am new to all this. After 3 months of persistent AF I was successfully shocked back into NSR 7 days ago. My breathing and energy levels are much improved, as is my sleep, but I remain very apprehensive after being repeatedly told that the AF can return at any time. My BP is under control and pulse around

Back in A-Fib
Dr Rasekh sent me home with Flecanide and directions to go back to the office Monday for an EKG and
Cardioversion
across the way. He said that people with persistent A-Fib rarely have success with their first ablation.

What next? Afib advice please
Have now had a
cardioversion
which hasn’t worked. I don’t know if it’s the Afib or the drugs that are making me feel so rotten but advice and suggestions would be very welcome.

ABLATION PLUS 3 MONTHS
Apart from during the ablation, I have not had MAT since my
cardioversion
in December. Something clearly triggers it and once triggered becomes more susceptible until the real cause is fixed.
