Since the last
cardioversion
, I only had one major afib episode - and yes, of course it felt like a heart attack - but it passed and the vacation went on.

Coming off Sotalol
I had an ablation in July of last year followed by a
cardioversion
and was put on Sotalol. Everything has been fine generally and I have remained in NSR. I saw my EP last month and we discussed coming of Sotalol ( good thing right?) and I weaned my self off it over 2 weeks.

Electro Cardioversion
Hello. 2 weeks ago I was zapped. They started at 100 joules, then 150 and then 200 joules, which worked. Unfortunately I was awake and felt the last shock, they expected me to forget, but I didn’t. It was very horrible. I now struggle to sleep,as I wake up with the same “shocking” sensation. I found

Feeling a bit anxious
Long story short, eventually ended up at my local hospital this morning in the GP out of hours area, a very nice doc took my BP and checked pulse and said he wasn't too concerned as it was 'in the nineties' but he also mentioned the possibility of having a
cardioversion
which would mean I could come

Cardioversion by nurse or doctor ?
Was told that I was penciled in for a cardiovertion on the 14 june, depended on what my ecocardiogram looked like,we'll guess what this cardio nurse says your heart isn't pumping enough to have it done by a nurse & I will have to wait yet another 4 weeks. Told him it's the best I've ever felt in sfib

Ablation or Flecanide
Following that I had a a number of breakthroughs during the autumn resulting in treatment in Resus with Metropolol IV and finally an electro-
cardioversion
. My EP put me onto Flecanide 150mg twice per day with Metropolol as PIP.

Advice please
I’m waiting for a
cardioversion
date but also they want to put a camera up my nose and down to my heart to see what has gone wrong with my last ablation. I’m a bit apprehensive about the camera thing. Anyone had this done please and what was it like ?

Amiodarone long term
One (normal) heart scan later and it was decided to list me for a
cardioversion
, which was successful for around 6 hours. I have a Kardia mobile so saved some time by emailing the results to my Cardiologist. He then prescribed me the dreaded Amiodarone and relisted me for another DCCV.

Af and sleep problem
My doc has said don't worry hopefully sleep will settle down, but its been on the verge of this since the
cardioversion
. I'm just worried if it gets worse, I'll be in real bother. Also, I feel ok walking or riding a bike, but coming back to rest I then get breathless.

After effects Cardioversion
I was admitted for my ablation on Wednesday and it couldn't be done as once they and everything in place they found the problems was far more extensive and would need a general anaesthetic to do and so had a
cardioversion
done and they are going to see me in 3 months to discuss the surgery.

What has been more successful for you? Chemical Cardioversion, DC Cardioversion or Spontaneous Cardioversion?
I have experience of spontaneously reverting to NSR, as well as one successful chemical
cardioversion
and many failed..... and a dozen DC cardioversions which put my back into NSR but little else. I wondered if anyone else had more luck with the chemical aspect?

Proximal Atrial Fibrillation
My first
cardioversion
3 weeks ago has just failed. SO my insurance does not cover PAF . I feel worse now than before my
cardioversion
. And hot flushes are tiring. It doesn't help having a fear of flying. Should I put off flying until my heart is stable? This is such a nuisense.

ECG & review....key questions?
My EP is on leave but, previously mentioned the possibility of
cardioversion
if my heart wasn't back in NSR after 2 weeks. I'm worried that the longer this continues the more established the rogue signals will become.
