cardiac ablation good experience
hi everyone, I have just had my cardiac catheter ablation for my ventricular ectopic beats ( I have a very high ectopic load) It has gone well and I was really well looked after by the team . In case anyone is waiting for their ablation thought it might be helpful to share my experience. In my case

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
The ICD was a mere precaution as possible higher risk of
cardiac
arrest
due to heart failure. No know afib previously or if there was it had no symptoms. No real symptoms of heart failure either.

1st question re cardioversion
What particularly concerns me is reading more on the subject recently and finding that Sudden
Cardiac
Death ie.
Cardiac
Arrest
is one of the biggest causes of death with AF. I am quite concerned at the idea that I may just drop dead. I just don't know what else I can do to stabilise my heart.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Besides the horrors of war PTSD is linked with other events such as witnessing horrific accidents ,
cardiac
arrest
, open heart surgery and many others. Is anybody suffering or has suffered PTSD? And what are your symptoms?

Female 65. I had a cardiac ablation on 16 Jan 2024. It was the worse thing I ever gone through. I felt everything and told the consultant. He said I had a low pain threshold. The nurse in the ward congratulated me for not requiring much medication! ( I have done fire walks with less pain) I was totally

Have you visited the Arrhythmia Alliance website?
Our website contains a wealth of information to provide a better understanding of how a sudden
cardiac
arrest
(SCA) can affect your life, and would you know the signs and symptoms of a heart attack? would you know the difference?

Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Hi, wondering if any of you that have had the Ivor Lewis surgery have had heart issues post surgery? At 3 years post surgery I started having atrial fibralation. Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a cardiac ablation

Atrioesophageal fistula (AEF)
Heads up to those undergoing cardiac ablation for Afib…had my ablation 12/6/23. Everything went great! Been in normal rhythm ever since! No bleeding, no hematoma, no real discomfort. However I woke up to abdominal pain, pain between shoulder blades and sore throat. 3 nights post op woke up to a burning

After Effects from a Triple Heart Bypass
Back in September 2022 I had a
cardiac

and was very lucky to have had a paramedic nearby with some 14 years experience. This lady performed cpr on me and called for a defibrillator.
