Recently had cardiac arrest and was diagnosed with Brugada syndrome. I was told i will be fitted with stents and an ICD device. I am 64. What will my life be like? Can i work, drive, fly etc?

Hi I had an ICD fitted just over 2 years ago and was banned from driving for one month. Every case is different but it's usually 1-6 months. After that driving was no problem. Flying has not been an issue; I fly regularly, including frequent long haul flights. You do have to avoid the scanning machine at security. Just show them your card and they will check you the old fashioned way. Also avoid anything that uses strong magnets, such as induction hobs and travelators. Hope it goes well.

Sounds promising. Hope I can eventually get back to a normal life.
