One year on
A year ago today in the early hours of the morning after calling 999 late on the 18th I was in a&e and I had my
cardiac
arrest
luckily I was with the paramedics and they did CPR and used a defibrillator on me quickly and I was okay (I ended up having stents and pneumonia but you know...)

At just 29 years of age, Tom Lockyer’s Sudden
Cardiac
Arrest
(SCA) story proves that a SCA does not discriminate. It can happen to anybody, at any time, in any age.

Gestational diabetes and heart conditions
I've currently just got to monitor my diet and blood sugars, I also have hypothyroidism (been controlled for a while now) So with my heart issues (small hole, a
cardiac
arrest
and heart attack, and recovered from myocarditis) is there anything else I should do to look after myself diet wise, or anything

Contradicting Dietary Advice
I have a dilemma, I have heart failure and am at increased risk of
cardiac
arrest
because I have had one already. I also have stage 3 chronic kidney disease + type 2 Diabetes.

Looking for advice on what feels like chains of ectopic heartbeats?
I tried to ask why the other Dr had mentioned
cardiac
arrest
and if that was still possible given I was still having chains of ectopics. They just said they didn't agree with her and I was sent home. It's been 10 years now.

Struggling Wife
My husband had a
Cardiac
Arrest
last year that resulted in a long hospital stay and a ICD being fitted. He is positive and doing well with the adjustment, I however am not doing so well. I was present during almost all of the attack and subsequent treatment from paramedics etc.

heart anxiety
I’m always thinking about having a
cardiac
arrest
or not waking up in my sleep, having a stroke. Very aware it’s not a healthy way of thinking but I can become very pessimistic about it. Statistically it doesn’t look good having all these conditions and I just worry.
