Hi…recently last week had an AV node ablation following pacemaker fitted two months before..after the ablation I wasn’t too well …extremely breathless…so hospital decided I couldn’t go home very elderly at 86 years old. I think they did every blood test that they could …I was dehydrated so was given

What is wrong with me?
so, about six years ago my platelets started to be elevated. The doctors don’t seem too concerned. I was researching on my own a couple years ago and found out about ET. I started asking questions and advocating for myself. I asked to be tested for the Jak2 mutation and to be seen by a hematologist.

What is your experience of novasure endometrial ablation?.
Hi 😊 I've had a crap time with endometriosis (like everyone here) Im due to have bilateral endometriomas removed and ablation followed by Mirena coil (privately). I've heard mixed things about both the mirena and ablation. I have advanced endo but luckily my pain levels don't reflect the damage, My

Post ablation (1 week) and back in AFib. How often is this likely to happen over next few weeks?
Had a Cryo-
ablation
last Tuesday at Lancashire
Cardiac
Centre and was ok for a week, albeit with a few spells of ectopic beats and a very short run of AF (30-40 seconds only). Went on a short walk with dog yesterday morning and another today (bit longer but only slow walk and 15 mins or so).

PVC's - when to seek further medical advice?
Hi everyone, After several years of symptomatic and worsening Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation and Premature Atrial Contractions, I had a
cardiac
ablation
in January 2021 that was very, very succesful - I would heartily recommend an ablation (sorry for that pun!).

Living with a pacemaker after AV Node Ablation
I'm wondering about what others might be or have experienced with being fully on a pacemaker after AV Node Ablation. I've had several adjustments to the Rate Response settings this last year, but still find that not much movement or activity on my part makes me feel like my heart is racing and I'm

Ablation done.
hello all, I wanted to share my recent ablation experience in the event it helps/informs. My headlines are. Diagnosed with AF in April ‘22 after attending gp’ with high stuttering heart rate. prescribed bisoprolol and apixaban. Remained in AF until cardioversion in May, established NSR but sadly

Catheter Ablation
I had the procedure on 3rd of February. I seem to be on the mend and have limited my exercise to walking and a swim. I sometimes feel a blip and check my heart which still registers NSR. I continue to take apixaban and sotalol 80mg per day. Does anyone get occasional burning sensation - I feel this

Pulse Field ablation.
Despite this in April 2023 local
cardiac
team offered an
ablation
on grounds afib would eventually recur and also being on Flecainide long term not desirable. So elected to have the ablation. Was pleasantly surprised to be told it would be a Pulse Field ablation under GA.

Ectopics or something more?
Hi all, I've suffered with ectopics for a long time and 2 years ago I had a
cardiac
ablation
which has really helped but only quite recently I've been feeling a strange sensation where I am aware of my heart beat for a matter of seconds, it feels different and for like 3/4 beats it goes fast.

addendum
I meant to say my final ablation was a AV Node ablation after my previous 3 ablations.

after a successful cardiac Ablation, I find myself scared to resume my previous somewhat strenuous physical activities such as spin distance
Do any of you have similar concerns, or guidance based on personal experience Dr.s seem to just tell me do what you feel is comfortable and don't over do it. I'm not sure what that is because I have a tendency to overdo things . Any thoughts

Short spell of dizziness
hello to you all I had catheter ablation end of Sept 2022 to alleviate flutter. I also had lots of annoying etopics. I was suffering with some tachycardia too and very low BP which made taking Bisosporol an issue. All went well. I’m currently on Edoxaban and 2.5 Bisosporol as a PIP. Things had settled

Post Catheter Ablation Recovery
Hi all, i had my ablation 3 weeks ago now and still experiencing mild soreness/discomfort around the puncture site in my groin. I was told by LGI I would be up to near normal activity after a few days and be back swimming and light gym work after a couple of weeks yet it took me over a week to be able
