Continuous Cough

I gave him calpol last week Thursday for a few days as he had puffy eyes and didn’t look well at all. He still has a really bad cough which is making him puke at times and keeping him up at night. I heard you can only give calpol for a few days. Can I restart it again? What else can I do?

Bronchiolitis - tips

At the moment I have Calpol and calprofen going alongside the calpol plug ins to try to clear the nose when sleeping, saline spray and nose suction when awake. What has your experience of bronchiolitis been? I've read somewhere that often it is just undiagnosed asthma?

Feeling sorry for my little one

What if a little one had (god forbid) chopped an arm off, do they just give them calpol?? And I’ve not had any proper explanations or suggestions of referrals. No end goal, no plan. Not what to look out for. Im in the dark and I have no idea what to do!

Calpol doesn’t help either. Nor does she want a feed when she wakes Anyone else had that or any suggestion or when this is likely to change? Thanks for reading x

14months old catching fever, cold and cough after nursery

But this is really upsetting to see her falling sick so often and hurts to give calpol all the time. Is it really normal to fall sick so often ?

13 months old fever for over 8 days

I give her calpol and it comes down, then she gets back fever after 8-9 hrs. She s having atleast 3 episodes of high fever and coming down after calpol and nirofen. I took her to a&e & they did urine culture report and results came as heavy mixed growth.

ADHD and tics

Newly diagnosed 59 year old female , prescribed Adderall XR 20mg . Have struggled with facial tics (blinking) my entire life , attributed to “nervous habit “. Never knew it was part of the ADHD symptoms nor did any medical provider or therapist suggest that it could be related over the years . While

Partner suffering Post Partum Psychosis need advice

Thankfully she was still ok with looking after the baby (seems so), apart from not giving him Calpol and monitoring the number of feeds he was drinking less (teething). I am massively summarising things, her family is South Asian and relatively simple people.

Constipated 3 year old - 4th day of no poo

Was thinking to keep upping the laxido, give senna in evening again & calpol to take the edge of pain. Thank you Ps - has some small poos over the week but nothing major, hence essentially about 3-4 days worth of poo ready to come out

Congestion please help!

I have tried everything... nasal saline spray/drops, use a humidifier in the room, bathroom steam, olbas oil, calpol vapour plug-in, windows open at night (and during the day to let air in) etc but poor thing still only manages to sleep less than one/two hours at a time before starting to grizzle and

Baby with a cold

I gave him calpol and he slept for 2 hours. He's crying again. I don't know what to do. I rock him in my arms and he calms down only to start up again shortly after.

I picked up my Haldol - hopefully some relief 4 now

Hi it’s Shnookie. Good news ! I went to another CVS pharmacy near my house and they had the Haldol ready 4 me. Unfortunately, on the flip side, I had such bad memories of the last time that I searched for this Med. Now I’m pissed 😠 off at myself. I’ll try to chill out the rest of my evening in Los

Withdrawal from Haldol -uncomfortable feeling - found pharmacy that carries it - same thing happened last year - need backup plan

Hi 👋 guys. It’s Shnookie. Finally found another pharmacy that carries generic Haldol. Problem that I can feel withdrawal symptoms but not as bad as other meds. This happened to me last year as well. Need a backup plan but hate this because the Haldol makes me feel better

Liver Friendly Medication?

Hello, Its been a series of events that have led to this question. I'll hit the bullet points. Bad Anxiety, caused vertigo, cant walk, bad vertigo. Prescribed Klonopin, 3mg/day for almost 4 years, worked fantastic. Dr. Retired, cut off w/ one week 1/2 mg

ALWAYS get a second opinion

I have been through 5 psychiatrists in my life. 3 were absolutely terrible and didn't know what they were doing. This is very common in psychiatry. The quality control is probably the worst of all fields of medicine. It is a guessing game. No lab work to refer to, no ultrasound or biopsy. It's a trial

Possible fear of pooing (2 year old boy)

We have been giving lactulose, and calpol to help with any pain, but it now appears he is holding it in, and extremely reluctant to poo.
