He doesn’t have warm milk anymore due to this and has been having calpol a lot (as advice from the doctor). He's always been a sleepy baby who loves to sleep and always settled so well. Now, he is incredibly difficult through the night and has me awake most nights multiple times.

Everyone also keeps going back to stess, worries, anxiety, believing that is the cause and the reason he isn't in school-the gp yesterday told me I just need to give him calpol (which has never made any difference to this pain) and send him in.

She's never been able to tolerate Calpol, so no pain relief, suppositories are not tolerated due to the pain, have used them once or twice in the past but can't get near her with them now.

She won't even take Calpol when she's ill. I don't know what I'm asking for really. I feel like I'm drowning as I can see her going the same way as my son( tho he's less fussy) should I contact the doctor again( they will just tell me to make her take the movicol)

I understand that he is really distressed and often in pain. ( refuses calpol as he says it doesnt help, the pain comes and goes) Hes tolerated this for years now. Many dr visits etc. We see the gastro consultant in october.

I am currently trying to wean off 4MG of Haloperidol or Haldol. Being on the meds has been a pretty horrendous experience. I’m on antibiotics, 20ml of calpol and 30mg codeine 4 times a day at the moment so I guess that could also be a factor. It’ll be 2 weeks tomorrow since my surgery and I’m still unable to open my mouth properly or eat much.

I gave him calpol last week Thursday for a few days as he had puffy eyes and didn’t look well at all. He still has a really bad cough which is making him puke at times and keeping him up at night. I heard you can only give calpol for a few days. Can I restart it again? What else can I do?

At the moment I have Calpol and calprofen going alongside the calpol plug ins to try to clear the nose when sleeping,saline spray and nose suction when awake. What has your experience of bronchiolitis been? I've read somewhere that often it is just undiagnosed asthma?

I mean I’m 21 and all I take is my contraceptive pill & if I feel poorly all I manage is calpol… says it all really LOL!

What if a little one had (god forbid) chopped an arm off, do they just give them calpol?? And I’ve not had any proper explanations or suggestions of referrals. No end goal, no plan. Not what to look out for. Im in the dark and I have no idea what to do!

Calpol doesn’t help either. Nor does she want a feed when she wakes Anyone else had that or any suggestion or when this is likely to change? Thanks for reading x

Thankfully she was still ok with looking after the baby (seems so), apart from not giving him Calpol and monitoring the number of feeds he was drinking less (teething). I am massively summarising things, her family is South Asian and relatively simple people.

Skegness for a few days holiday with the kids we where in the games arcade all day with the kids that really where having the best day on till that night well he had high temperature getting sick I thut he had a bug my other 2kids had it a few times before but he never .but I was up all night gave him Calpol

But this is really upsetting to see her falling sick so often and hurts to give calpol all the time. Is it really normal to fall sick so often ?

Newly diagnosed 59 year old female , prescribed Adderall XR 20mg . Have struggled with facial tics (blinking) my entire life , attributed to “nervous habit “. I give her calpol and it comes down, then she gets back fever after 8-9 hrs. She s having atleast 3 episodes of high fever and coming down after calpol and nirofen. I took her to a&e & they did urine culture report and results came as heavy mixed growth.

Was thinking to keep upping the laxido, give senna in evening again & calpol to take the edge of pain. Thank you Ps - has some small poos over the week but nothing major, hence essentially about 3-4 days worth of poo ready to come out
