6 times per day.I Ingest Sinemet CR + IR (either 1/2 or 1 25-100 IR). I would like to ingest only CR at 6 pm and 10 pm and 2 am. Is there away to do that with only CR? Half of a CR added?

Well going to try this, got nothing to loose..
Called my pcp just now and they said they would ask doc if he would write script for sinemet cr, will see what happens. For now i decided to reduce dosage from 1250 to 1000 a day. ill take 125mg every 3 hours 8 times a day(total 1000mg daily), hoping that will reduce the "off" periods which are running

WHY IS CARBIDOPA USED IN COMBINATION WITH LEVODOPA IN DRUGS SUCH AS SINEMET?
This is a question that I have heard different answers for in different places on the web, but never was quite sure what the exact reason was, but I have noticed that there is a group who believes that Carbidopa itself can be a problem and would prefer alternatives to Carbidopa while some people use

C/L CR with food?
Many places it is written to avoid taking C/L with food. I think this to avoid the C/L absorption problems when the meal contain protein, and also, I guess if you take the C/L immediately after a large meal, it could be a while before the C/L reaches the small colon (where it can be absorbed)... But

On period for Parkinson's with alternative medicine
Hi I'm here to learn from anybody approaching Parkinson's treatment differently! I hate Western medicine not minding how my neurologist feel about it! I prefer alternative medicine and currently on Zandopa with green tea which gives me 3 hours on time! Recently I started adding sinemet CR to the Mucuna

Sinemet IR or Sinemet CR??
For those of you on sinemet, do you prefer sinemet immediate release or sinemet controlled release? My neuro is taking me off mirapex( due to bad side effects) and wants me to try sinemet. I don’t know which one I should try.

Overdose of Madopar CR - urgent help please
Please can someone answer or help. My Mum is in hospital and I discovered they’ve been giving her Madopar CR 100/25 (sustained release) all day instead of her Madopar 100/25 (blue and white) pills all day. If they’ve got it wrong at every dose, she’s probably had 4 Madopar CR during the day; she usually
