Madopar cr?
What is your drug regimen: time, drug, dose? When do you eat?
John
I'm sorry, but I'm confused, you say that Madopar CR does not work for you, but then mention dispersible tablets.
Did normal Madopar work for you?
One feature of Madopar CR is that it has a bioavailability of about 70% of normal Madopar. So, your 125mg tablets are only worth about 88mg of levodopa. This is explained in the reverse direction by the NHS document:
surreyandsussex.nhs.uk/wp-c...
With all levodopa based medications, too low a dose does not get you to the "on" threshold. A controlled release pill spreads out the release of levodopa, so it may never get you across the threshold.
I suggest that you discuss with your doctor an increase in dose, or an increase in frequency, or for the first dose of the day use the dispersible pill to give immediate relief.
