Neurologist and dr won't renew script for buprenorphine
My neurologist and dr won't give me a script for buprenorphine for my restless legs as they want me off opioid. I said that buprenorphine works, the neurologist said eventually my legs would get worse on this, but I have heard that this keeps working. It is criminal, what can I do.

my story
I live in the US and have had RLS and peripheral neuropathy for a number of years and controlled it using tramadol. My doctor took me off of it because of opiate regulations. After trying and failing at buprenorphine, that doctor decided that since I was 80 years old, had been taking a low dose of Tramadol

Buprenorphine and nausea
I will be switching from methadone to buprenorphine. How common is nausea as a side effect? Does it go away over time? My doctor gave me 60 anti-nausea pills, but insurance hasn't approved my switch to buprenorphine yet. Just wondering what to anticipate. I asked to change because of some cognitive

Temgesic/Buprenorphine
Jelbea and Shumbah have both posted recently about Temgesic versus Buprenorphine and the different half life of these 2 medicines. Both have Buprenorphine hydrochloride as the active ingredient BUT Temgesic has a much shorter half life. This means it will have to be taken every 6 to 8 hours throughout

No luck
Not looking good guys on getting the buprenorphine here in Ireland, my doctor prescribed it for me but the pharmacist just rang me to say that its not approved for rls treatment and needs to be approved by the Health service executive, which could take weeks and may not be approved, just wondering if

Buprenorphine
I just got off the phone to my doctor and she's agreed to give me buprenorphine! I just really need to be careful with the gabapentin as she said I have to taper off it to a lower dose, she has given me enough 0.2mgs to increase the dose as needed and is ringing me next Friday to see how I get on, she's

Help!
Hello, everyone, I've an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow and would like to know what strength of buprenorphine helps rls? I'm not doing so good, rls back with a vengeance, had to go back on the hrt gel as I found my rls was way worse after stopping it, I'm crawling all over, day and night since

Appointment at Neuropsychiatry Clinic
I have a long awaited appointment at The Barberry Centre in Birmingham where I hope to persuade the consultant I see to prescribe buprenorphine. If he agrees what form is best … sub lingual, tablets, and what dose?? Temgesic? The other issue is - what if my GP says that she is still unable to prescribe

HELP, PLEASE??!!
I just had a total knee replacement. For 3 years now buprenorphine has helped, but today I took hydromorphone for pain that my surgeon prescribed, Nexium that my family doctor recommended to take to keep the aspirin I have to take postop to keep from getting ulcers, and cyclobenzaprine. Unfortunately

Buprenorphine and stomach pain
Over the past 2 mths I have developed severe stomach and bowel pain. I suspect I may be suffering from opioid induced bowel dysfunction?? Other more serious causes have been ruled out. Also have poor appetite. It has taken me 25years to find something that relieves my RLS, am terrified now regarding

Buprenirphine stock shortage
Morning friends :) My chemist is finding it difficult to obtain my weekly Buprenorphine script sometimes. This time I have had to wait 3 weeks. Luckily I have accrued an emergency supply for situations like this. I am the only patient on their books that they provide to and my surgery tries to steer

Opioid induced loss of appetite
I'm currently taking Buprenorphine, but it seems to be causing a major loss of my appetite. Does anyone know if either Suboxone or Methadone are better in regard to appetite suppression? I can't tell you how important you all are to all of us trying to deal with titration off of these terrible DA's

SOVENOR PATCHES (Buprenorphine)
Please could anybody using Buprenorphine confirm an article I read recently that it can block the effectiveness of other opioids needed as top up - maybe Tramadol - when the RLS just overrides the patch.

My story won't apply to everyone, of course, but you may find a nugget worth considering. I've had mild RLS intermittently for forty years until it recently worsened. I'd always managed it with weighted heat, L-Tryptophan, magnesium glycinate, L-Theanine, and if necessary, a little pacing. At age 36,

Sleeping tablets to offset Buprenorphine sublingual side effects.
I’ve been on first 0.4 and latterly .06 mg Buprenorphine sublingual tablets quite successfully for a couple of months now. Unfortunately, I suffer from the insomnia side effect and both Zolpidem and Amatriptyline no longer work for me. Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative med, over the counter

buprenorphine patch - any advice?
Hello, my GP has agreed to prescribe me the buprenorphine patch 5mg starting from Monday. He will not prescribe tablets at this point - he feels the patch will give me better coverage for both the pain in my joints and also my chronic restless legs and will counter the continual withdrawal type issues
