Been in A&E for the 5th time in 4 months this week. I'm so frustrated and now my consultant is just like "ah yes your asthma is poorly controlled even though you're on quite a lot of medication, I don't know what we can do about it though" then sent me home once my peak flow was a little higher which

Another Week In Our Street...
It's been a peculiar sort of week in our street... The Bridge has gone...replaced by a flimsy sort of a walk-way for the workmen who have been instrumental in demolishing it...suppose the same chaps will be involved in building the replacement. Thumping great lorries go past a dozen times a day loaded

ASTHMA controlled at mo but VERY breathless. Drs now saying its DECONDTIONING
Hi! I wonder if anyone is in a similar situation. As Dr described to another, I had sudden onset of difficult Asthma with dramatic deterioration. I'm only 53, and it commenced out of the blue, back in 2009. (It is also highly likely I have Churg Strauss Syndrome, and am being treated for it) I was forced

For this reason I hadn't been to the doctors for longer than I should but hope you may appreciate why. I'd

Churg Strauss Syndrome
Hi everyone! I've just found this site., and this is my first post. Do any of you have Churg Strauss Syndrome? Out of the blue in 2008 I developed sudden onset severe difficult asthma. It started with a severe, barking cough, 24/7 & my health has continued to deteriorate, with frequent emergency admissions

Nebuliser and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
I have both these machines at home, the nebuliser, issued by the Royal Brompton Hospital, had since 2000 and the CPAP suggested required after Sleep Apnea study, whilst an inpatient, on 12 days, continuous iv amnophylin. Bought my own as ones offered by NHS, we're single pressure, and suggested variable
