Orserdu
After almost 6 years of being stable on Ibrance and letrozole I now have some very small progression into both my hips. My initial metastatic disease was in my lungs. I also tested positive for a mutation that frequently happens. That being said I am eligible to take the brand new drug Orserdu/elacestrant

Asthma Drs do they know.
Hi There are times when I can’t breath, but when I check my Sats they are between 90 and 95. But I still struggle, the hospital Dr says it can’t be bad as I am between 90 and 95. I am usually 85 up my peak flow is 250 best and 150 in the morning. I don’t know why I struggle at that No but it’s scary

So my MO scheduled a PSMA PET 2 weeks after the end of my EBRT. I didn't argue and did it. Im seeing her tomorrow and will ask why. Maybe she forgot I did radiation?? Ill ask for another in 3 months. Meanwhile, the report shows the lymph node is now mild uptake SUV 2.5 MAX. It was intensely radiotracer

IBrance Vacation?
I’ve been on IBrance 100 and Anastrozole for three years and my scans so far have shown stable disease. I’ve tried to stay active with golf and walking. We took a trip to Texas and it was go go go for a week, one can say I have nothing to complain about…however, my tumor markers have been rising for

Results from trans rectal bipsy
I had spent a week in the hospital from the sepsis from the transrectal biopsy. Back home with a midline for an afternoon IV for the next week. Strike one against my Dr. who poo-pooed the transperineal. The results were that there was cancer but still within the prostate capsule - stage 2. The doc.

Had shingles about a month ago, it’s cleared up now, started after taking abatacept first injection, had anti virals, not sure now if I should go back on it, also take MTX which wasn’t working good after being on it for 16 years, funny thing is my crp came back at 3 after having shingles and anti

How could AI help in asthma care?
Hi all! I have a question for you: as an asthma patient, how do you think AI could potentially help meet needs you have that aren't currently being met? For example, I have been reflecting on how doctors could potentially use AI to more accurately diagnose, treat, and educate patients. For me personally

Various Issues last three years.
2020 dark blood in stool 3 times followed by 6 mths occasional yellow, pale, mucus and stomach upsets. Seemed to clear but stool colour lighter now. I'm 77 so I hope the NHS does not see me as a done case! Three weeks ago strong left lower pain down to leg then light blood in stools and continues.

CEA Fluctuations
My husband has just completed his 3rd cycle of Carboplatin and Etoposide for prostate cancer liver mets. Before the first cycle his CEA was 38 (should be <5) This number is being used as baseline. After 1st cycle it was 30.3 but after his 2nd cycle it rose to 32.7. Is it normal for CEA to fluctuate

respiratory medicine
I have an appointment at the hospital for respiratory medicine consultation. They have requested that I bring- peak flow diary, all medication and my asthma management plan. I have never had a peak flow diary or asthma management plan, should I have been given these by my doctor?

Has anyone tried Berberine (supplement) for Afib?
In researching what supplements will help my 93 yr old mom's heart (afib has returned after two ablations that kept her afib-free for 14 months), I found a study on Berberine. She's currently on Tykosin and would stay on Tykosin, but that eventually becomes ineffective (sometimes as soon as 6 to 12

Uric Acid [UA] & PCa Mortality
I once had a gouty foot. It was self-induced - I was having a brief but intense craving for high-purine foods, particularly anchovies. (Perhaps PCa was driving the craving - lol.) At some point I looked at the PCa / Uric Acid [UA] literature (more than I expected), but it was mixed & failed to impress

Fatty Liver disease and Triglyceride levels
Is it common place for people with fatty liver disease to have elevated triglyceride levels? Would you expect triglyceride levels to correlate with a fibroscan CAP score? There's also a particular type of cholesterol associated with the liver called VLDL: Is this a test that an NHS GP can do or is

New technique modifies T-Cells to cure cancer
From a publicly available site Scientists have stumbled upon an extraordinary 'living drug' in the bloodwork of a late-stage cancer survivor. A year after receiving "the biggest development in cancer therapy" in over 50 years, this patient's body was still protected by a fleet of souped-up killer
