Cranioplasty
We have been waiting for weeks now for a call or letter to give Steve a date for his Cranioplasty. This morning the call came, and now I am worrying myself sick about it all. He is so scared. When he had his 7 hours of brain surgery in October, of course he knew nothing about it, but this time the thought

PMR and Lyme disease?
Does anyone have any information on the connection between PMR and Lyme disease? It seems to be a suspected cause especially in America, I live in Africa and have had the local version, Tick Bite Fever. My Rheumy ruled out Tick Bite Fever as a cause but then said he didn't know what caused PMR!

TIGER TIGER
If anxiety was an animal what would it be and why? I would choose a tiger. Something that would hunt you down. Something that is capable of hiding away and then seizing you unexpectedly. However....Deep down I know that Tigers aren't around in my life

Is weight gain a Side effect of Madopar?
I was diagnosed with PD 8 years ago and was taking most recently Stalevo & Sifrol to control it thinking at the time Sifrol was doing me more harm than good. Last August I had DBS but still wound up on Sifrol And Sinemet. After a few months it was finally decided that I should wean myself off sifrol

Seizures - Becoming a nuisance.
Everyone thought I was having another
brain
haemorrhage
, which is very understandable as I hadn't had any seizures up until that point. Then things got much worse. I've had seven seizures now (my last one was a week ago) and they have gotten progressively worse each time.

How to help family member who is currently still in intensive care...
Hi, A family member of mine suffered a

haemorrhage
. He is currently still in intensive care (today is the 14th day) and I am really pleased to say that he is no longer sedated, he is able to breathe with minimal support now, and yesterday he opened one of his eyes.

AVM: Another valuable...minformation?
This means that it can
haemorrhage
, and oxygenated blood kills
brain
cells, suffocating them with too much oxygen. So obviously this is a bad thing.

DBS plans on hold due to possible nocebo effects... I'm too crazy for brain surgery.

Hi Headway friends, hoping you can help me with a little feedback, specifically regarding a condition I acquired after a brain haemorrhage
"If you have suffered a
brain
haemorrhage
which resulted in a loss of vision(or partial vision), did the vision return? if so, how quickly? " Outcome options: 1. Yes - vision returned within 6 months of initial loss 2. Yes- vision returned between 6-12 months of initial loss 3.
